Sure. Let's start with the basic premise that God is an all-knowing, all-powerful being.
If such a being was so determined to smite Ellen, why would he have to destroy 2 cities in order to do so? And wouldn't he at least have her show cancelled by now?
I suppose she did lose the "American Idol" stint; maybe He does have a little influence there....

Well, i don't claim to be an expert in these matters but i haven't heard of any angel induced population reducing action for some time now. Then again you know what these angel unions are like for strike action.
I think, if God did some focus groups, he'd discover that some avenging angels sent to Earth to do some righteous punishings would get him some new followers mainly out of fear, but also because kids would think it was "so fucking cool".

The most common, if I remember correctly, characteristics for pedophiles is that the live their lives as straight males. And as a group, straight white males probably outnumber all other groups.

i know my opinion is in the minority and not backed up by many, if any, experts...but if you (man) rape a man, that is not a hetero act, if you molest a minor child, that is not a hetero act.
i understand the prevailing theories are that both acts are acts of power and nothing to do with sex, however, that is not true. i believe power plays a large part, but so does sexual desire.
in college i explored this issue as a very good friend of mine was raped and then the following year a fellow classmate was raped and murdered. in both instances, it was about sex and power. my school had a rape counselor for both private and public sessions, in that, many wanted to know more about rape. i don't know if this person could be considered an expert, but she never stated it was not about sexual desire, but she was adamant that it was more about power.
imo...and maybe i could research it, but its not a topic i like to dwell on....i don't think a truly hetero male could rape or molest another male

From what I have read from experts in both law enforcement and psychology fields, when a man molests a young boy it is neither heterosexual nor homosexual. The attraction is not for a certain gender, but for the young child's body. The reason young boy get molested so much more is that they are not watched as closely as girls, and not warned to be afraid as much.

and that is what i have read as well. never talked to anyone, but that is what i have read.
i know that value of experts, however, i also know that experts can often be debunked in the chair. i'll be honest, i used to believe the experts knew it all, until my line of work has shown me that for the same situation, two "experts" can say two different things and/or you can destroy each expert on this or that.
i have not done much research since undergrad...however...i know its anecdotal, but we did "pro bono" work for someone who had molested a girl and had already been convicted of it. i had to go and talk to the guy. well...he never touched the boys, but enjoyed touching the girls, he knew it was wrong, but just couldn't stop himself....to him it was about the arousal..he would never have touched the boys
didn't help his appeal...but that is what happened and that it what went on the record
