NBC fires producer over edited Zimmerman 911 call

Yeah that's what they refused to do right after the murder. Which you have no problem with.

That's what the new prosecutor is doing now. Which you do have a problem with. But that's too bad.
typical, assuming facts not in evidence. simply because I didn't jump on your freak out bandwagon of arrest and charge him now does not mean I didn't have a problem with anything that went on.

of course, since I didn't go knee jerking like a republican demanding an immediate incarceration and kangaroo trial based on public sensitivities.....what was it you've been doing?????

All you've really done is ask where liberal outrage is on a myriad of other killings.

It really isn't much to go on.

A kangaroo trial? So that's what this is going to be huh?

Yeah, you have problems with the lack of an investigation into this killing. Sureeeeeee you do.

It's not about what you haven't said. Believe me, what you have said has been more than enough to discern where your "concern" lies.

all you've really done is ignore my other posts where i've said that i'm willing to consider martin acted in self defense, or have said that people need to wait for further forensic examinations before continuing to kneejerk, and also discredit idiot claims of no injuries or blood to zimmerman based on edited audio and grainy video released by mainstream media sources with an agenda. yeah, all you've focused on is the posts asking for your outrage on other similar issues, which you immediately and categorically call apples and oranges in order for you to dismiss it with some hope of credibility.

more assumptions of facts not in evidence. like just a bit ago you said they were charging zimmerman, no link though and i've been unable to corroborate the claim.

I think I was pretty clear that since she dismissed the grand jury, I believe she's charging him. By dismissing them, she also dismissed any political cover if she wasn't charging him.

I don't have a link to my head.

Obviously Dung does not understand. He thinks is magically done or that something like the NBC edit can happen by 'accident'

I understand perfectly well. You think that because the act of editing is an intentional act it necessarily follows that the tape was edited to intentionally paint Zimmerman as a racist. I don't that that conclusion necessarily follows. I think it entirely possible that the producer intentionally edited (redundant, but I guess you need it) the tape but did not do so with the intention of painting Zimmerman as a racist. You seem to think that's impossible. I don't.

Fair enough but I have absolutely no idea how one (if they claim not to have an agenda) could seriously look at the way the two comments read and say 'the thought that this could paint Zimmerman as a racist and inflame feelings against him never crossed my mind".

I can see the person doing the actual editing of the clip to fit the time allotted for the segment and trying to meet deadline convincing him or herself that the edited version does not significantly alter the call in a way that is misleading, but I don't understand how an editor reviewing it would reach the same conclusion. In print, there would be an ellipse or other obvious sign of omitted text that is not apparent with video, but that's what editors are for.
