Nationwide power outages through Spain and Portugal.

So, it's about what I said. Solar and wind made the grid unstable, and the failure cascaded through the system. Another black eye for useless solar and wind...

That graph in the above X post is another damning blow to solar and wind. Over production leads to issues of their own.

I am pretty sure that I remember that when the Texas Grid almost collapsed it was because improperly conducted rolling blackouts caused the grid to oscillate.

Increasingly as this dark age deepens it is decided that We The People dont make the "Need 2 Know" list.

To a great extent the Swamp killing JFK....how it went down.....is STILL being kept from us.

And look at how the Swamp failing to kill Trump at Butler was covered up, mostly successfully.

Periodic extensive lack of predicted wind in Europe has been a problem for something like three years.....there is speculation that it is caused by ocean currents dying...but I am not aware that it is for sure that ocean currents are dying much less that it is the explanation.

Reports that the grid was unstable three hours before collapse and that at the time 80% of the generation was from intermittent sources are both interesting.

This makes a lot of sense :

But, as I pointed out on Monday, the underlying cause of the blackout was the lack of “inertia,” the physical buffer provided by traditional power plants that use heavy spinning machinery to stabilize the grid during sudden fluctuations. Our electrical systems are based on power plants that rotate massive metal shafts at thousands of revolutions per minute, creating electricity while also providing momentum. That rotational mass acts like a shock absorber, automatically resisting sharp swings in supply and demand. When a fault or sudden drop hits the system, that inertia buys precious seconds for control systems to respond and for operators to isolate the problem. In contrast, solar panels and most modern wind turbines rely on inverters, which lack physical mass and can’t cushion these shocks

The grid operator insists that they did nothing wrong, which if true means this is a grid design problem or sabotage. Massive intermittent energy grids being unstable, that this was not foreseen and corrected (assuming that it can be corrected), would be a yet another massive failure of the experts.
