Those frontier midwestern and northern states that have most of the cattle, along with some of the farming states will do just fine allied with the new Texas nation. Our oil will help sustain them and we'll be just fine without you. What you supposed 'rich' states will end up doing is raising taxes, making more poor people, and they will eventually all become lazy and dependent upon your government..........you'll slowly die off as business' look to regain profitability by moving to Texas.
