Maybe those officers had more guts than the Uvaide cops?![]()
Wow, how awful.
But absolutely fucking necessary
The Uvalde cops had the guts. There were plenty who wanted to go in. The problem was a Command and Control issue and how the Critical Incident system is set up. In Uvalde, the breakdown came from the Chief of Police. After Uvalde, every municipality better have reviewed their plans with a Plan B, C and D to prevent breakdowns by key figures.Maybe those officers had more guts than the Uvaide cops?![]()
Yes, heros
Horrible that it was necessary. Our spineless politicians could make this rare, but they prefer fundraising and better chances at reelection.

Uvalde school board fires Chief Pete Arredondo over shooting response, after he calls vote a “public lynching”
Uvalde school officials have faced mounting pressure to fire Arredondo, who received much of the blame for the delay in confronting the shooter during the May 24 massacre at Robb Elementary.
How many Blue on Blue shootings have happened because a cop rushed in with insufficient authority, insufficient jurisdiction and insufficient formation?I would prefer cops who can think, and act, on their own in the seconds that count. It was obvious (didn't they see him go in?) there was one individual shooting kids and adults in that school. There should have been no need to "wait for orders." They should have gone right in and shot that lunatic on sight.

Admittedly, Ulvalde was an extreme, but the problem remains the same. Uvalde didn't have Plan B. It all fell apart when the Chief of Police, who was more politician than cop, failed to do his job. A larger city like Nashville didn't have that problem.
I've said many times that overzealous cops are dangerous. Shooting, or even harming the unarmed is going over the line.
But when there is gun fire in a school, that is sufficient evidence to do something, not wait for plans to be made and orders given.
The cops who killed this transgender thing didn't wait for orders. How many lives did they save?
