NASA Scientist John L. Casey Warns of the Coming Cold Crisis

Chronic record cold temperatures, double the normal high magnitude earthquakes, and massive volcanic eruptions. While government sponsored scientists are not making the connection, top scientist John L. Casey has, and will share his perspective on a coming cold era that has repeated itself through history every 200 years.

An increasing number of scientists are worried that global cooling, not warming, currently poses the greatest threat to life. To register their growing concerns, scientists are being asked to join a new campaign to help educate the public and policymakers. At the forefront of the campaign is the Space and Science Research Corporation (SSRC) of Orlando, Florida, a leading independent US climate research company. It is the foremost institution in the United States dedicated to the analysis and planning for the next climate change - forecast to bring decades of record cold weather. John L. Casey, SSRC President says, "The SSRC possesses the capability to conduct planning and research on how best to prepare individuals, businesses, and governments at all levels for the next climate change to a period of long lasting and potentially dangerous colder weather."

Fellow scientists, unconnected with SSRC, at Principia Scientific International (PSI) share Casey's concerns. PSI's own independent research supports the analysis that our planet appears to be entering a prolonged cooling phase not seen since the Little Ice Age (LIA), a climatically harsh era that saw untold famine and war during the 17th and 18th Centuries. PSI urges our members and loyal readers qualified in the sciences to lend their support to SSRC's mission. To this end, we publish in full SSRC's public appeal below.

Global cooling is probably worse than global warming simply because humans don't fair too well in ice age conditions. But there is a consensus among scientists that we have already reached the tipping point of global warming where ice will continue to pool as water and expedite the thawing of permafrost which will release greenhouse methane gas into the atmosphere. Either way us humans are screwed.

There was a consensus that plate tectonic theory was totally crazy until it became scientific fact. There was also a consensus that light needed a medium called the aether until the Michelson-Morley experiment totally disproved that as well. Robin Warren and Barry Marshall, two Australian scientists, showed the bacterium Helicobacter pylori plays a key role in the development of both stomach and intestinal ulcers, in the teeth of opposition by the medical establishment. If reaching consensus were really the hallmark of sound science, the scientific theories of Galileo, Copernicus, Darwin, and many others would never have seen daylight. Also, there is no guarantee that majorities will reach sensible opinions.

So you're saying empirical scientific method works? All observation evidence suggest we have already reached the tipping point of global warming.
 
I'd be willing to go along with that assertion if some of their predictions, even just a few, had ever been accurate.

Shoot I'd even start leaning if they had just one. But, sadly, none have ever been accurate. Not even one predictive model of the people who believe in the "consensus" has ever been accurate. Not even one.

Primavera, you have a long history, over many years of predicting global cooling which somehow just never happens.

You sure about that?

By many measurables, our environment has taken a nosedive over the past few decades. Melting poles, disappearing habitat, disappearing coastline & coral reefs. Oh - and let's not forget we're now in the midst of a mass exctinction.

When we're just working our jobs & doing what we do year after year, it's not that noticeable. But 30 years ago, if we all could have seen this point in time, today - it would be absolutely shocking how far things have gone in such a short period of time.
 
Couldn’t locate their website, but I did find this.

“The Space and Science Research Center (SSRC) is (apparently) a for-profit company located in Orlando, FL. They appear to have an anti-global warming agenda, though their arguments have yet to be examined in detail. They present an appearance of scientific grounding, but they do not seem to have any peer-reviewed papers on their theories.
The SSRC appears to have been created sometime in late 2007 or early 2008; their domain, spaceandscience.net, was registered on 2007-11-10, and a press release dated 2008-01-14 mentions says that it is "In just its first days of activation".

It seems likely that this group is essentially in the business of getting paid to come up with scientific-sounding justifications for any anti-global-warming message the customer wants to get across.“

It can't happen until there a prolonged period of quiescent sunspot activity like the Dalton and Maunder minimums. Naturally you choose to ignore that aspect but I'm not surprised.
