House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) at her weekly press conference yesterday continued dodging questions about her accusations that the CIA lied to Congress about waterboarding terrorist detainees.

Pelosi was pressed by reporters on whether she continued to receive briefings and admitted that she is still receiving the CIA presentatoins. She refused to answer when this humble correspondent asked whether or not she believes intelligence professionals are still lying to her.

House Republican leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) spoke about Pelosi’s continued stonewalling at his own presser that followed shortly afterward.

“It’s been three weeks since I asked Speaker Pelosi to back up her allegations that the CIA lied to her or purposely misled her,” Boehner said. “She made this claim, and it's her responsibility to either put forward evidence that they did, in fact, lie to her, which would be a crime, or she needs to retract her statements and apologize. Allowing this to hang out there is unconscionable. And I just think the -- the silence from Speaker Pelosi is deafening.”=

Also, if she THOUGHT the CIA had lied to her, why was it not pursued under Bush, when it was happening? The Bush Administration CIA...lying to the Speaker... sounds like something that might have had some legs, and would have certainly implicated the White House in illegal activity. I mean, come on... they tried to tie no-bid contracts for Haliburton to Cheney, that is trivial compared to the White House instructing the CIA to lie to Pelosi!

But we didn't hear a peep from Nancy, until her LIE unraveled, and she had to try and cover her ass. First she claimed she wasn't informed, then it became... they misled me! She WAS informed, and she WAS NOT misled in any way, she knew full well what was going on the whole time. When it became obvious to the Democrats this Waterboard/Torture thing had some political traction, they jumped on it with both feet. Now Miss Nancy finds herself knee deep in bullshit and no way out.
 
I'm embarrassed for her, really. She knows she went too far, but you can't fit it back in after you let it out, it's almost as hard as refolding a map.
 
She's a hack, like the rest of them. She's hoping for a way to put the toothpaste back in the tube, but guess what, it ain't going away.

May she continue her self crucifixion. (no offense to those who believe in the Jesus zombie)
 
I really think a criminal case could be made against her, if she doesn't clarify the record. If she knew she was being lied to by the CIA, and failed to report it, that makes her an accomplice to the lie. Something criminal was happening, she knew it was happening, and did nothing. Yeah, I think she has opened a great big can of worms for herself, and now she is going to have to eat them.

Poor dumb big-eyed bitch! :)
