The UNGA resolution was non-binding, as are all UNGA resolutions, and had no legal effect. It's totally irrelevant to the discussion. There was nothing to accept or reject, it had no more legal effect than me writing a note saying that Israel is illegitimate and pasting it on a wall somewhere.

Resolution 181 was passed by majority vote at the United Nations in 1947. It didn't matter a toss that all Arabs states opposed it- it was passed anyway. Thus the victors of WW2 , in an act of arrogant imperialism, split a country in half . The die was cast. Despite losing half of their country the Palestinians were forced to accept it. The Israelis too, of course- so there's no use in them whining about it now when the nations of the world demand that they return to their allotted territory.
No occupation = no resistance to occupation.


With the UN also came modern international law. For example, territory cannot be gained by means of force. Fascists cannot accept the UN as a facilitator of the Israeli state and refuse its authority simultaneously.

The west -

1. Seizing the West Bank, Gaza, and Golan Heights, territories populated by Arabs, by force and settling them with Jews is legitimate.

2. Russia seizing portions of Ukraine occupied by Russians is illegitimate.
 
The difference is that the Zionists since the beginning had been wishing for the expulsion and eradication of the Palestinians. That was the core ideology of their cause. It is stupid to come to land in an area, announce that you intend to expel and eradicate all the inhabitants, defeat people when they respond to your aggression, and claim that their self-defense against you was aggression itself and justification for doing what you had intended to do from the beginning.
 
And Germany wasn't totally eliminated, like the Israeli's plan to do with the Palestinians. There is a German state and a German homeland. There is no Palestinian homeland.
