My Thoughts on the Coming Election

"Spin"...but I expect it. Wishful thinking. You underestimate Mr. Comeback. LOL. He got Bin Laden, when everyone thought he was down and out. LOL. He'll catch you with your drawers down again.

Mr. Comeback? Please. He's not even as teflon as Ronnie.. And no, I think that the arrogance of the OWS crowd will pretty much be the end of things for Bush III. He has a record, it isn't pretty, especially on jobs. The two years with super majorities in both houses is enough to show people what Obama was about. Man, this is going to be one fun election.

You know what? The overwhelming majority won't blame Obama for their lack of jobs, but the Republicans, for lying about doing something about them, in 2010.

if the logic holds true, why won't they blame Obama for lying about doing something about them in '08, '09, '10, and '11?........

And you're doing crack again. This GOP field from Santorum to Bachmann, to Cain to Paul and Gingrich, has got to be on par with Ringling Bros, Barnum and Bailey Circus. Debating whether or not global warming or science exists? Whether aid should be administered to states and cities affected by disaster? Signing a marriage pledge with a provision about slavery??? Having conflict of interest after conflict of interest??? Are you insane?
2004? My dog would have been a better president than Bush's second term. Anyone of those DNC candidates would have been infinitely better than George Bush, who is responsible for the deep shit we find ourselves in, that Barack Obama had to take on, with a obstructionist Republican Congress to thwart his every move. You better go somewhere.

1) Man induced global warming is now being shown for the hoax it was. Check CERN's latest report.
2) Both liberals and conservatives ignore science when science stands in the face of their beliefs
3) you really think conflicts of interest reside only with the right?
4) Your dog would then by nature have been a better President than Obama as well.
5) There is a lot of blame for the mess we are in to go around. Bush's fiscal policy is certainly one of the things we can look at. Iraq is another that is on Bush. But the insistence of the left to blame Bush for the crisis is amusing. It was CLINTON that repealed Glass Steagall. That by itself was the single largest component (after the massive deficit spending the past five years) to the mess we are in. Also cannot help but notice that Obama didn't put it back in place.

Put down whatever you are smoking. You think the public is THAT ignorant that they would believe the Reps have the power while only controlling ONE of the three Houses? Yet they will ignore the fact that Obama/Reid/Pelosi have also told us time and again how they are going to help the jobs situation (or as Obama recently stated, pivot focus to jobs now....).

Really? Why are his poll numbers higher than all of Congress, still? And you know whose poll numbers are even lower? Rupert Murdoch. Ooops, there goes Fox News, the Wall St. Journal, and all his holdings. LOL

President Bush's numbers were higher than Congress as well. You sure you want to use that as some sort of measuring stick? Obama is not running against Congress. His numbers have to be better than his opponent and right now he is trailing or tied with four of the Reps.

My thoughts on the coming election:

STOP wasting valuable time and resources. Start the campaign six weeks before election day. Scrap your ridiculous stadium packed hooleys that serve absolutely no purpose. Let all candidates receive an equal grant, equal TV time etc. Let each candidate publish his or her manifesto and then bloody well vote on them.
Is that really so bloody difficult. All this farting about is more stupid than words can tell.
You might also ban character assassination speeches and insist that political speeches stick to points relevant to the governing of the country.
Or are Americans as stupid as we jokingly say they are, unable to think for longer than a goldfish and swayed only by melon slice smiles, baby kissing and hysterics?

Political assination speeches and writings have been around as long as this country has. Check out the Sedition Act John Adams singed into law in an attempt to stop it and see how well that worked out.

My thoughts on the election as of today....

I think we will end up with Romney as the Rep nominee. I would like to see him tag Ryan as his VP.

If the economy, especially jobs, improves between now and election day to the point unemployment is under 8% (and declining) I think Obama wins. If unemployment remains above 8%, it will depend on the Rep nominee. Romney wins in that situation. The rest... dogfight.

LOL... Two years with supermajorities and all we got was this lousy healthcare... People blame Obama, it's why his numbers are in the pits. They watched him spend trillions with very little effect.

It's going to be comical to watch the ads with him going to one company after another that they gave a grant to talking about how great they are, while listing the date they went bankrupt and out of business...
What will be even more funny is when he wins. Not all of us are partisan hacks. We know all to well who it was that drove this nation into the ditch with ideological extremism. Harp on Health Care reform all you want to. That's an inevitability and nothing you can do or say is going to change that. Your views are provincial and quite appropriate in your region where there are more sheep then people. The fact is, as unhappy as people are with Obama they are far more fed up with Republican incompetence and ideological extremism to trust them. Americans may have a tough choice to make between a peanut butter and tuna fish sandwhich (democrats) and a shit sandwhich (republicans) but their not going to choose the shit sandwhich.

Right, a leader understands, especially when dealing with non-existent technologies, that there needs to be interim planning. It isn't short-sighted to expect a plan for the interim, it's short-sighted to ignore the interim for the magical future that doesn't and cannot exist with current technology while trying to take away current technologies or price people out of them...

Unfortunately we don't have a leader in the WH, we have an ideologue.

Oh what a crock of shit. You're delusional and in lala land. Obama an ideologue? Have you completely lost your sense of reality? W was the most ideological driven US President in our nations history and you're calling a left of center moderate like Obama an ideologe? Keep drinking the kool-aid Damo. It's easier than thinking.

Then it's high time they were stopped, don't you think? In the name of democracy and respect for fellow citizens.

LOL... yeah, you aren't a party hack.... but you just spouted off the party line of 'they drove us in the ditch' and 'they are ideologically extreme'. In fact, there wasn't one piece in the above that wasn't pure partisan hackery.

If you think Obama is a 'left of center moderate' then you are a bigger hack than I thought. Obama is absolutely and ideologue. Far more so than Bush. Bush was a puppet for the most part.

Ryan would sink Romney's ship for sure, he is known for Medicare cuts and that just does not fly with the older voters who have a tendency to vote more often than the youngins!
