My political identity group is shrinking

Well I guess I am one of those crazy leftists you are talking about, since no doubt fully supporting single-payer and a stronger social safety net is now considered a “radical redistribution of wealth” and since I no longer believe the official 9/11 story. People have tried to make me think I was crazy for years, but it doesn’t bother me anymore. If you look around this world and you think you want to be part of the majority, then I would question your sanity and morals. So I wouldn’t worry too much if I were you Onceler, I certainly don’t.

I doubted the 9/11 story on 9/11, and research confirmed what I suspected.

Understand that the same cognitive dissonance that made far too many Americans believe that invading Iraq was a good idea, is working overtime to keep many Americans, even good people of conscience, from recognizing the truth about 9/11.

The good news is that this is a very exciting time in American politics. We are facing SERIOUS challenges. But at the same time we face these challenges, the numbers of Americans who have suddenly been slapped awake by the Bush Administration is growing. Don't focus on those still asleep and confused .. the numbers of Americans who understand has grown.

I'd imagine that 3-4 years ago, a site like this would have been filled with right-wing-Limbaugh-Hannity-Coulter spouting psuedo-patriots who talked as if they just had a conversation with God. Filled with such arrogance and self-importance, it would have been difficult just trying to have a civil conversation.

Where are they today?

There are a few still here .. but they just provide comic relief today. Damn, I hope they don't leave the site .. who else could we get to wear the intellectual big nose and clown shoes? Who would there be left to ridicule and remind us of how dumb Americans were to have ever listened to these Bozos at anytime.

There is good news my sister.

Must be scary to be a total nutcase like you and not even realize it....makes it hard to get the help you need...

Because it's mentally unhealthy to enjoy a good and stable economy and to love people for who they are, rather than to be a bitter and retarded conservative like yourself who wallows in the pain he inflicts on the nation.

Wow....the only thing you missed is that I cling to religion and my guns.....:tongout:.......moron:321:

You can add that in if you want....

that will show everyone that a real far left ditto head can all the talking points right.....

You can't be scared of something you "dont' realize", stupid.

And I can't believe anyone would say I was a nutcase. I can see the time has come for me to post my picture, to clear up any doubts about me. Hold on, I'll be right back with it.

That's me, all dolled up and out on the town in New Yawk. If that picture of me doesn't prove I'm sane I don't know what would! So, I guess I have owned your ass now, you con piece of shit, and if I could get more than 50 cents for it, I'd sell it in the village.

BAC - do you really think 9/11 was an inside job?

Is that Amy Winehouse? Man, she has had bad luck w/ photos. Makes great records, though...

For example, if 9/11 was an inside job intended to benefit Bush & the GOP, couldn't they have done better than set Bush up to be caught like a deer in the headlights in front of "My Pet Goat" for 7 full minutes after learning that his country was under attack?

Even if he wasn't in on the thing, you'd think the planners could arrange it so that he could come out looking a little better than that...

he was told the whole OBL and AQ thingy was just Clinton bullshit.

go read the book buy our TOP terror expert at the time Richard Clarke.

reading this thread reaffirms for me that onceler was not quite on the lefts side

First, there are Bush voters who STILL approve of the job he is doing. To me, these people are dangerously insane; if I could permanently revoke their voter registrations, I would. I don't get them, in the same way that I don't get bad Eddie Murphy movies, or german.

Then, there are the Bush voters who are a step above that, and either regret their votes for him, or at the very least understand what a miserable failure he is. Yet, a great many of these voters will still vote for McCain, and only turned on Bush because of Iraq, so I don't relate to them.

There's a whole group "in the middle," who base their vote on something like Al Gore's sigh, or Obama's "bitter" remark, or who vote based solely on something like guns, that I simply don't understand.

There are the far left - the gang who believe 9/11 was an inside job, believe in radical redistribution of wealth, gets all crazy PC on everything, and who have injected as much negative tone into the national discourse as the crazy rightie groups (most of whom fall under the 1st category).

Now, there is a whole, huge group of Democrats who I think are deranged. It's the group that is clapping & cheering with gusto at a Hillary Clinton rally, and the group that just gave her $10 million in new funding since PA. Since I can barely look at Hillary Clinton, the fact that they can not only keep their eyes affixed on her, but smile & clap & cheer while doing so, is a radical thing for me. They are as alien to me as anyone else; I definitely am not a part of whatever political group they seem to consider themselves a part of. I cringe to think that some of them might actually vote like me in the fall, and they probably/hopefully will if Obama stands any chance.

Weird times....

It is probably to do with her extreme zionism.

Not really. You just have to wake up and realized you have the same beliefs as mainstream republicans and john McCain. The brainwashed fascist middle. Anything both parties agree on is probably a bad idea, consider how corrupt the whole process is, with candidates beholden to their financial backers and not those who elect them.

Thank you for reaffirming that it's all about 'sides' and party for you. No room for individual thought that may differ.

THe idea of progression assumes there is some distinct direction life goes in. That is not the case. We go through phases of elaboration and simplification depending on zillions of factors.

This is not at all what I typed. Somebody modified my post.

I said he is not alone at all, and that he has the same beliefs as mainstream republicans and john McCain. Furthermore, I said that anything both parties agree on is probably a bad idea, considering how politicians are beholden to their corporate financial backers, and not the people who elect them.
