You make a point, but its a different type of normalcy Biden is promoting. A normalcy where racism is not acceptable, where bullying and narcissism is shameful. A time when it was not okay to put your own ego above the needs of the nation.

Yes, it would be odd, he is not even a lawyer, but he is an effective manager and fair minded, we need an independent attorney general again, picking one from the other party would be a sharp contrast from the very partisan Bob Barr.

I want Biden to establish some precedents that will stop the return of another Trump type presidency.

That can be debated. His whole primary run was premised that he was not going to tip over the apple cart ala Bernie Sanders and we would return to 'normal'. Will he totally switch and be a revolutionary now? It's possible I guess but I wouldn't hold my breath.

True, but I see the huge wedge angle. Imagine a Dem potus and Republican Veep putting an exclamation point on how horrible and divisive this Trump right wing fascist episode was.
If I were to go that rout, I would select a right winger so right and white nobody could even pretend.:)
