My hospital has a possible COVID patient

Came through the OR, of course lol. Awaiting test results.

There was a big discussion about whether to force self-quarantine on the people who were in on the surgery until they realized the whole OR was, in theory at least, exposed to the virus. Can’t very well shut the place down, so yeah.

And here I was looking to burn through some sick days.

We have the first case in my locality. (central Oregon)

We probably have tens of thousands of COVID-positive people in the U.S. and don't know it, thanks to the administration's pathetic response with test kits.

There's one in stable condition here.

Rumored similar here at VA, dude had been walking around for some time. More Trump fail.

How is the president supposedly responsible for a "rumored" patient's "rumored" infection?

I'll completely understand if you cannot explain.

The public should be more prepared by now and know how to decrease their chances of contracting the flu by building up their immune systems and taking the prescribed precautions.

Wash their damn hands, you mean?

It's better to pretend that we don't have test kits than to distribute them and then the real number of those infected becomes public, eh?

My husband is predicting that this pandemic is most likely going to overburden our current health care system to the point of collapse. He's a retired IT/systems architect who spent his whole career working in the health insurance realm. As you might imagine, he doesn't have a lot good to say about it.

Doesn't matter. Best estimates are that by the time this has blown over, 60% of us will have been infected. Maybe your garlic will save you. lol

Trump's inaction made it possible for him to "potentially' have Corona. I will understand if you deflect. This is a fucking hospital where the case presented and they were alarmed.

What alleged "inaction" was that, purportedly, and can you show a causal link between a ""rumored" patient's "rumored" infection and this supposed "inaction" that you have not proven to exist?

Naturally, I will totally understand if you can't.
