This is one subject I have dealt with personally, and I am offended for Jarod. They have both made it personal. I hope Superfreak stays healthy, Damo isn't and he better hope he never loses his group insurance because if he does, he is in trouble with the private carriers, he will have to do what Jarod has done.

I am done here, it got to me personally, and I told myself I wasn't going to do that anymore, but they are both being real assholes

A lot of people think that. I run into that with people all of the time. They always doubt everything anyone else says, even about a funeral, or just anything. If it didn't happen to them they "find that hard to believe". Sometimes I get very angry with my own friends over this attitude. Not everything in the world that can happen is going to happen to you. Unless you are Job or something. I am not that suspicious.

This is just it Rana... you are relying on second hand knowledge. I WORK WITH THEM TO GET CLIENTS HEALTH INSURANCE. I HAVE FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE DEALING WITH THEM. Add to that the VERY link YOU posted STATED EXACTLY what I am stating and you can see why I might just be a bit frustrated with you proclaiming that you know based on 'horror stories' you have HEARD. The insurance companies are not all ethical all the time, they make judgements just as Medicare does. But that doesn't change what I have stated. High Cholesterol is NOT something that is typically a cause for denial of coverage. There is almost always something else that is triggering it.

I am done here and you can go on being smug about it and calling Jarod a liar, but I feel you don't know and haven't heard the personal horror stories I have heard about this industry.

I obviously haven't heard the stories you have heard. I am not saying this industry is perfect or a bunch of saints. They are a business. They are run as such. Some of their practices are unethical.

That said, I am not going to sit by and watch Jarod blow smoke up everyone's ass. He created this thread for his 'Obama care saved me' moment.

It's because you've had cancer. I'm this way with abortion threads, I can get so angry that I don't even go there for the most part. Some subjects you are better off avoiding on a message board. ANd of course both Damo and SF are very arrogant. However, the fact is I totally owned Damo on this thread, and I"m just not saying anything about it because I'm not a man. Women tend to hide their lights under bushels.

Basically you are once again being the typical douche bag that you always are. I didn't state it was UNIVERSAL. I stated the cases where it can happen. You are basing your comments on NOTHING. NOTHING.

You just want to defend Jarod because he said something nice about Obama. These insurance companies that Jarod mentions are the same ones I use to write coverage for clients. I am very familiar with their practices and what it takes to get covered, what conditions will get someone denied. You are not. You are just emoting.
 
The weird thing, Darla, isn't just that Damo was wrong about the state high-risk pool being available in January 2010. It wasn't. The weird thing is that he developed a more elaborate story that, not only was the state high-risk pool available in January 2010, but that a program passed in 2009 to provide that coverage. Odd.

This is just it Rana, I HAVE dealt with the nasty side of the insurance industry as well. My sister went through a friggin nightmare when she had cancer.

But it pisses me off when people make bogus claims.... and I am 99.9999999999999999% certain that is exactly what Jarod is doing. You want to give him the benefit of the doubt, by all means, that is your right. But the odds of the three big carriers he mentioned all denying him based on an easily fixable condition like high cholesterol are astronomical.

LOL I know! I lack that killer instinct DH. Most would have moved in for the kill there and completely humiliated him. I just don't have it. I get them on the ground, but I never have the heart to bayonet em.

You would have to scan it as an image and upload it to your image files here... Then you can just use image tags that are provided below the image. However, one reject letter doesn't mean three. I'm sure he'll want all three.

I respect and like Damo, I have learned over the years, he is incapable of admitting when he is wrong about anything. Its a waste to continue to try to get him to do so.

He did add all three to his list but if I post this one it will prove that being declined for high cholestrol is possable.
