I believe the Minneapolis invasion by ICE was intended to create such chaos and spark sufficient protests for him to be able to invoke the Insurrection Act and send in troops. With the murders, it backfired on him.

The bizarre part about it all is there really are not that many undocumented immigrants in Minneapolis. Worse yet, they are talking about attacking Maine where there are barely any.
Whatever the purpose was, it was not to deport undocumented immigrants.
Minneapolis is about bullying. It's about trying to beat people into submission.
