there are idiots who shut down IVF because they couldn't destroy fertilized eggs......off the top of my head I can think of three solutions which would have solved the problem without discontinuing the procedure......

1) fertilizing fewer eggs at one time.....
2) simply stop destroying fertilized eggs....
3) open up use of extra fertilized eggs for "adoption" so they could be accessed by other persons incapable of conception.....

The process of IVF (the taking and fertilizing of eggs from a female) os both enormously expensive, for anyone MC and below, and very, VERY hard on the female body, due to all the drugs they have to take. The process is also very hit and miss when it comes to implantation. If you fertilize fewer and end up not getting pregnancy you force the wannabe parents to either quit or find the money to do it all again, while the mother has to go thru yet more drugs.

2&3 tie in together. Currently if the person who had the eggs taken wants to offer them to others to fertilization, they can. Are you advocating for a law that makes that mandatory?

And if so, how long does the Clinic have to store the eggs, awaiting a person who wants to use them, and who pays for that storage? Are you ok with Tax dollars paying for that storage since it would be gov't mandating it?

NO, simply opting to fertilize less embryos is not an answer, as even less will still mean there were extra and the SAME question would apply. What to do with the extra? YOu then AGAIN say fertilize less. And the cycle would continue until they fertilized only one at a time because for some woman somewhere the first one took and thus all the others were needed.

Your solution is no solution, but as magat, typical old white guy, it won't stop you thinking you have the answer for all Dr's and women.
 
The only thing Americans really need to see there is that he did not care enough about it to actually learn her name. He still hasn't said her name because he just didn't care enough to learn it so he could pronounce it right. He had a prepared and practiced response that didn't connect to meaning in his mind, it connected so little to anything that mattered to him that he messed it up and then apologized for using "illegal" instead of getting her name wrong. He had one job and instead wound up showing us that even when he's on the best clarity medication and speed that money can buy he still doesn't care. Or at least care enough about her or her family to get even the simplest of things right nor care enough to take responsibility for his own border policy and his party's weak on crime policy that allowed this man to run free and murder her.

I will admit the birthed child has a distinct advantage, having survived the gauntlet of bloodthirsty lib'ruls with their poised scalpels.........that being said, it was the IVF itself that shut down the industry.......primarily because they weren't smart enough to see the obvious alternatives......
