Mozilla CEO resigns after donation to Prop 8

Why haven't fake libertarians spoken out against the hiring policies of Liberty University? They specifically state that faculty must agree with their doctrinal views. Not just the person running the university but all faculty has to be in agreement.

Why isn't the fake libertarian sf complaining about the many people who want this contractor terminated?

IMO, it is fairly obvious, that it is because his complaints are based on partisanship, not fake libertarian principles. Also, his partisan loyalties are not Libertarian, but Republican.

Remember when the resident one true libertarian on the Board was outraged when Republicans blocked Goodwin Liu's nomination to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals because he said gay marriage bans, like Prop 8, were unconsitutional?

Me neither.

Probably because no matter how much we disagree with that position, we respect the right of a private university to have their own policies, especially in light of their 1st amendment rights.

SF doesn't agree.

What about Mozilla's first amendment rights?

They did not do anything illegal. They did act unethically however. At least the private university has a policy in place so that all parties know and agree beforehand.

I would also like to think that you can vote a specific way as a private citizen, and still be allowed into the public and supposedly diverse, workforce.

What ethical norm did Mozilla violate that Liberty U did not?

You'd like to think that, but you'd be wrong. I mean, yes, you are allowed into the public and the supposedly diverse workforce, but private parties are not obligated to accept you.

They did not have a policy that said if you vote a specific way as a private citizen we will force you out or terminate you.
