Moving to Mexico!?

I was having drinks the other night with a Trumpper relative.

He was going on and on about how a friend of his has given up on the United States and is moving to Mexico...

I had a lot of questions that the Trumpper refused to discuss.....


Do conservatives no longer Love America? Is it no longer THE GREATEST NATION IN THE WORLD?

Why Mexico? Is Mexico a Conservative Mecca? (Actually its much more socialist than the United States)

Why not Belize or if he is not stuck with Central America, maybe Saudi Arabia or Russia?

I’ve heard there’s a lot of ex-pat Americans living there. It’s cheap. :dunno:
 
You’re asking people on JPP why some friend of a relative of yours might move to Mexico? Are we supposed to know this friend or is this all made up?

Someone not too long ago posted an article from the LA Times about people in Mexico City complaining about the number of Americans moving there and driving up property values and gentrifying certain neighborhoods.

It is cheap compared to the United States, the economy is on a different scale and so it works out that way, but if you are moving because you hate our government why chose Mexico?

Don't Trumpers always complain about Mexicans coming here? Trump made it a point that we need more immigrants from places like Norway and less from 'shithole' countries.

I know a friend of a relative that moved to Ft. Myers, FL from New Orleans. I don’t think he likes New Orleans anymore. Can’t blame him.

It is a beautiful city, I love visiting, but I the climate is not one I like for living there.

That I can understand, New Orleans is a very different city from Ft. Myers... But we both are in America. This guys point was that he was moving to Mexico because he had "Given up on America."

It was only a few years ago when Fox news was going on and on about how nobody should visit Mexico because of how dangerous and violent it was.

But why pick Mexico as a result of giving up on America? Their government is more liberal than America, and it was the liberalism he claimed he was fleeing.

I suspect one can live like a king for cheap there. Ask 100 questions and the answer to 99 of them is “money”.

It is funny the countries they seem to like. If they hate liberalism, why not Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan?

You said you'd move there. You're a conservative. That's the point. After spending a lifetime complaining about Western European socialism, conservatives dream of moving to a western European country.
