Most Republicans Think College Is Bad for America?!!

A liberal arts degree is useless and is mostly taught by liberals (maybe that's why it's called 'liberal arts'). You can learn anything it teaches for free going to the library and checking out books.
Not only is there is no room for liberal indoctrination in science and math but applied to the real world is actually useful in making a living.

Dear lord. Stop talking about universities. You didn't attend college and clearly don't know what is happening on campuses

Well, Trump won because educated Americans seems to be out of touch. Based on what I was writing for freelancer.com and yourhomeworkhelp.org on education I'd say the worldview of the educated seems "monolithic". That's because the more you know about the world, the more you embrace facts over fiction, the more you use logic and common sense to come to conclusions - the more your worldview is going to look like that of those who also are educated and use the same rationale for viewing the world.

Ask a bunch of 5th graders what the cube root of 8 is. They will have wildly different answers. Mostly, they'll just be guessing because they have no idea what a cube root is.

Ask the same question of a high school graduate and a vast majority of them will agree that the cube root of 8 is 2. That's because they are armed with facts. Their common answer isn't some "monolithic" worldview. It's simply a FACT based on education.

What people are loathe to say about the 2016 election is simply this: A bunch of really stupid people voted for a stupid candidate who resonated with them because he SOUNDED like them. They could relate to an idiot because they, too, are idiots! What we found out is that there are a LOT of idiots in America. It's really that simple.

Anyone who thinks that American colleges today are not geared towards leftist thinking, are not being honest.
Colleges have long been hot beds for liberal ideas, and those who dare disagree with their professors, find themselves in a hostile environment.
If you walk in lock-step with your leftist professor, then you will have few problems.

The trouble with American right wing extremists ('Conservatives') is that they think all educated human beings 'leftist' or (if they are at least in favour of bang-bangs and racism) 'liberal'. Unless they can somehow revive mediaeval education I can't see any answer for them except psychological treatment, and the rich are not going to allow that, are they?

If you're worried about your kids being indoctrinated by the left in college then you clearly have failed instilling your personal values in them up until that point.

My daughter is eight months old so I have thought about this including how I came to my own political opinions. How much influence do parents have on their children's political views?

On values etc parents play a huge role. And many kids share their parents political beliefs, at least at a young age. But definitely not all.

BAC's spoken about this so I don't think I'm speaking out of turn here. His daughter served in the military (overseas). At first glance if we had to rank posters whose family members would serve he probably wouldn't be at the top. (I don't mean in an unpatriotic way but in attitude towards u.s. military action et al) yet his daughter did

Maybe that proves we're all more alike than we'd like to think? My sister and her husband both served, she herself was quite liberal for a time but since serving has definitely started going the other way. Do I think she was indoctrinated? No, she just took a different path than myself. My dad might think she was indoctrinated though lol.

Haha. It seems many people have changed political parties or leanings in their lifetime

you need to include it in her formula......unless she's breast fed......then its your wife's problem.......

I've met more college graduated morons than I have decent and hard working former military people. the former military people have shown themselves to be 20x smarter than 90% of the college graduates.

The mistake libcucks make is a simple one. They blindly accept as gospel the idea that a piece of paper makes a person more aware, more intelligent, and more discerning. It's a fallacy, and maybe they buy into it because they are frightened by the thought that the Founders gave equal weight to the votes of everyone, regardless of intellectual elitism.

while-polling-before-election-day-showed-that-voters-with-less-education-were-flocking-to-trump--which-shows-in-the-exit-polls--he-still-saw-a-good-amount-of-support-from-voters-with-higher-education.jpg

In some cases the decision to serve can be driven by an inability or unwillingness to secure civilian employment rather than an abundance of patriotic fervor or some ideological motive. I'm not saying that's the case with your friend's daughter, because I don't know. But such cases exist, in my personal experience.
