45 percent of registered voters think Republicans in Congress are more responsible for the government shutdown, while 39 percent think Democrats in Congress are more responsible and 11 percent volunteered that they think both parties are equally responsible.

Among independents, 48 percent think Republicans in Congress are more responsible, while 32 percent think Democrats in Congress are more responsible and 14 percent volunteered that they think both parties are equally responsible.

Does anyone believe that when the Repugnants first crafted the bill with its intentional cuts to health care and its accompanying price hikes, they didn't know right from the jump that there'd be a shut down fight?

Democrats are going to cave soon because THEY are the ones who are being perceived in a negative light. Also, it is largely their own voters who are feeling the pain first.

Nope. That's the Democrats. They are the ones who keep voting to keep the government closed. They are the ones who, at the time they had control, only funded Obamacare subsidies through 2025.

It's not a good look for Democrats to use U.S. citizens as political pawns and hostages, denying them food stamps in exchange for giving away their tax dollars to fund healthcare for illegal alien invaders.

Trump's base is lower income white voters. I don't think you realize or appreciate how many Trump supporters rely on SNAP and other programs liberals invented.
 
Most people know who is in control of all 3 branches. Trump could end it tomorrow. I am sure most Americans know that. This is Trump's shutdown, just like the last one. Trump has no problems using extreme methods to gety his way. Starving people. no big deal.

That's what the Senate Democrats seem to think. Tell them to pass the clean CR so that SNAP gets funded.

BTW, I've seen (and even know) numerous people who get SNAP money. They are ANYTHING but "starving".

Continuing Resolutions are garbage. It all needs to be line-item to be most efficient.

That is one reason I think the DEMs should fold and they should make sure people know that these cuts are what the Republicans wanted and voted for and when the low income workers in the USA start getting hurt maybe they will wake up and vote the Republicans out of office.
