more proof, why lawyers should NEVER be judges

DA turns blind eye to DNA evidence

Residents were alarmed last summer by a rash of thefts, trespasses and burglaries in Stonegate, a neighborhood in Douglas County.

Fear turned to panic in July after an intruder reportedly climbed into a second- story window and groped an 8-year-old girl in her bed.

A sicko was on the loose and pressure was on to catch him.

Unfortunately, the state’s case then took a hit when DNA testing on evidence culled from the 8-year-old’s underwear pointed to an unknown male, but excluded Sanchez as that male. No matter. District Attorney Carol Chambers insists she still has the right guy. How can she be so sure? Well, because kids can be such sluts these days.

“With the low-cut jeans that girls wear, she could have picked up anyone’s DNA off any surface her panties touched while they may have been riding up above her pants. I hate those low-cut pants,” Chambers said…

this is your fault America. You stupidly believe that college educated individuals are more fit to run this countries apparatus than us simple minded high school and GED folks. (yes topspin, that's an 80 foot dig at your dumb ass)

wake the hell up and start removing these elitist dumbfucks.

A judge should be educated in the law. That kind of narrows it down a bit. Sorry that one dumb idiot ruins the whole damn profession for you, STY.

just one? how many shining examples of dumbass lawyers would be enough for you? I'll even throw out the duke rape case for ya.

i'm not saying being a lawyer is a bad profession. I just think they shouldn't be judges.

It's as if you somehow believe that becoming a lawyer should remove stupidity. First, I am willing to go out on a limb and bet that her remarks are well out of context and placed in the worst light that the blogger could possibly come up with. Second, the reality is there are stupid people in every profession, but selecting judges who know nothing about laws wouldn't make it better.

I'm more interested in seeing and hearing the interview with the suspect, if it went down as described in the blog then there is a real problem with her choice to prosecute this guy. A good lawyer will tear that up in front of a jury.

One should be required to be a lawyer to be a judge...!

Thats like saying a surgion should not be required to be a doctor...

Why Doctors should never be surgons....

I just went through the most painful thing in my life due to a misdiagnosis from my new doctor.

First of all forgive me on my writing as I'm on a narcotic called Roxicet for pain.
Combined with the fact that I am not a great or even good writer. And I am Dyslectic but I will really try to make this as readable as I can.

It all started on 3/11/04 Thursday night with a slight pain in the left side of my throat by morning it had gotten so bad that I had severe pain and swelling from my ear all the way down my neck. I thought it was my tonsils, grabbed the flashlight and a mirror and looked, sure enough the one on the left is huge, so large in fact that it was pushing the uvula off to the side.

Ok so to the doctor I go, and tell her that I thought it was my tonsils, well she looked in my throat, looked in my ears and took a culture from my throat and give me Tylenol with codeine that at first helped. Said something about a fast test and that she would call me with the results that afternoon she also said she would have someone call regardless of what the test proved. So I wait. And wait all through the rest of Friday with no call.

Saturday the Tylenol was no longer working so I called the office and they were closed I got the answering service. They had the attending doctor call me. He couldn't do anything because he was not in the office but gave me the number to call and see if the test results have came in, I call it and guess what they were closed.

Lucky me!!! Ok so I decide to stick it out till Monday and go back to my doctor.
Sunday morning I wake up in excruciating pain with mass swelling. The hubby had promised a friend weeks before to help him with a project, I was going to go with my camera to get some pictures for them, but I had to bow out I was in to much pain so I stayed home. A few hours later and more swelling I started to get really scared that my throat was going to swell shut. I called my hubby's cell he was almost done but was at least and hour away so I called my friend to come and sit with me till he got home.

When she got to my house and saw what I looked like she told me "you have got to go to the emergency room NOW. Hubby gets home and we all pile into the car and off the hospital we go, me with the most head-exploding headache I have ever had in my life. And proceed to wait 4 more hours no pain meds no nothing.

The nurse practitioner sees me looks in my mouth and says "oh my god I know what is wrong with you"!! Paratonsillar abscess in layman terms the whole back of my throat and the soft palette had abscessed due to acute follicular tonsillitis.

More proof why surgions should never be Doctors....

Five years ago, a woman named Leslie developed indigestion, abdominal discomfort , and, occasionally, diarrhea. She has just given birth to her third child, and life was understandably hectic at home. Her primary-care physician gave her antacids, but this afforded only slight relief.

"I feel really different. Something has changed in my body," Leslie told her doctor. But nothing abnormal was found on her physical examination or on routine tests. Leslie was sent to several specialists, and before each visit her primary-care doctor informed the consultants that Leslie was under "a lot of stress and seems anxious, and depressed."

"Nothing is physically wrong," the doctors reassured Leslie. An antidepressant was prescribed, but it did not ameliorate her condition.

Some four years later, Leslie felt dizzy and nearly fainted in the street. Her husband drove her to the local hospital, where she was found to be severely anemic. X-rays and scans showed a large mass where the small intestine meets the colon. Clearly, the tumor had caused her previous problems

lawyers should be shot and lawyers turned judges should be sent to a federal pound em in the ass prison for life.

That is just dumb.

Our legal system is complicated and difficult. It is difficult work to ensure that proper procedure is followed and that people's rights are not infringed upon. One's life should be in the hands of a professional.

Thanks for the comedy Not Smarter than a fith grader. Aren't most judges former lawyers? So you get a bad apple you throw the baby out.

Love the GED types railing against education. I'm old but the numbers used to be over 2 million more over a career with a college education vs HS. And as globalization continues that spread will widen as GED'rs get paid yet even less.

its complicated and difficult because of lawyers and judges. It used to be simple 200 years ago. what we have now is just another apparatus of the big brother government
