I'm claiming the school board in the DISTRICT is a bunch of Liberals.
The real reason behind this is so the blacks, hispanics, and white trash who do nothing can feel good. Most of them already get social welfare and free lunch for nothing. I guess then Liberals on the local school board thought they deserved a grade for doing nothing.

My kids go to a great public school. I studied the local private ones... Including the $40,000 a year school where Tiger Woods and Celon Dion's kids go...
I decided my local public school was better. A friend of mine who had his three at the $40,000 school transferred his kids when I told him about how good it is, he says he's much happier with the education and is saving $120,000 a year!

This deserves a groan even though I think I know you are trolling. I'll keep giving zeros to students who refuse to work here in Oklahoma, thank you very much. And I can count to ... well, I can count. I may not agree much with the poster of the OP but I definitely disagree with the new SC grading policy. A student who does nothing deserves nothing. If a student digs himself a hole he deserves to have to make an effort to dig himself out of it. What lessons are we trying to teach them anyway?
You mean the self that thinks GIVING a student 61 points for doing nothing is an example of the Liberal mindset? I would hope those that value education would see this as a problem. Apparently Liberals don't care about education but producing numbers that tell a false story.
If they do zero work, they should get a zero.
The lesson being taught is one that will carry on later in life with the mindset that you don't have to work to get something. I wonder how many of those that agree with this policy would not go to work during a pay period yet expect their employer to still pay them 61% of their pay?

If you support this, why don't you take the next pay period off at work, tell your boss you want 61% of your pay, and see what happens.
Apparently your local public school doesn't think giving someone 61% for doing nothing is a good idea. If they do, I question whether or not it's that good or it just looks good on paper.
