So you are saying a 118 year trend is meaningless? That is proof, that the earth is old?

No, it is not meaningless, but when you have global warming fear mongers saying 'we have never seen temperatures this high before' you have to look beyond the last 118 years. When temperatures have not gone above the 1998/2005/2010 levels for a 13 year period.... that is 10% of your 'trend' so that too is relevant to look at. What caused the stagnation in temps if it is CO2 that is causing the rise and CO2 has continued rising in the past 13 years?
