More Indoctrination

I was just trying to help a fellow Christian see that Christ's message isn't about all that hate and admonition.

I suppose it is possible that you are actually stupid enough to believe I thought it was....after all, liberals are generally blinded by their own assumptions....

So....what Christ had to say is unimportant...but the folks at "truechristianity.com" is? Sounds awful convenient for people who think they are better than others to justify their judgmentalism.

This is another issue where the Bible is confusing, but what is clear is that it is the way you rebuke others. If you are doing for their good with loving intentions to show them the errors of their ways and to bring them out of sin and into love, then it is righteous.

If you are condemning people on a message board and telling them to "fuck off" because their beliefs are different then theirs, it is unrighteousness and judgemental.

The thing is, if you truly believe G-d is all knowing, you have to remember, you may be fooling people, but you can't fool G-d, you believe that he is all knowing and so, he will know what is in their hearts and minds. They may be fooling themselves, but according to their own beliefs, they can't fool G-d.

This is what I try to explain to my brother who sees himself as righteous, his judgement is out of pride, believing he is better than others, not out of genuine love and concern for others, but out of superiority.

Very well written. Thank you. The thing is, we are all human, we all fall short of perfection. According to what I've read, there is no one sin worse than any other. If we break one of God's laws, we are guilty of breaking them all.

So telling people the truth about where they will spend eternity unless they repent is not genuine? What should I say then hey don't do that, I can't tell you why it's wrong, or what the consequences are, but don't do it, spare me. If I am trying to spare them eternity in hell I would say that is love. I know i am a sinner, and without the blood of Christ to cover my sins I am condemned. That is the difference, I am covered, and want others to be also.

ha ha ha ha how is it cause to keep prayer out of school?
Typical name calling liberal

Obviously, prayer respects an establishment of religion.

But your question is dishonest and intended to exploit ignorance. One can pray in school. It simply can't seem to be endorsed by the state through state employees and use of state property.

Why don't you actually read the legal opinions?

Evidently? Are you saying scripture make allowance for Abortion or not? I am not Catholic!

It does not say anything about abortion though it does not appear that it would be considered murder, as most pro life nuts argue.

And if men struggle with each other and strike a woman with child so that she has a miscarriage, yet there is no further injury, he shall surely be fined as the woman's husband may demand of him; and he shall pay as the judges decide. "But if there is any further injury, then you shall appoint as a penalty life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, (NAS, Exodus 21:22-24)

It treats the baby and mother as property of the father/husband.
