John Scmitz, right-wing republican congressman, who had had his committee chairship taken away from him in the California State Senate after issuing a press release attacking Jews, feminists and gays. Forced out of office in 1982 for having an adulterous affair and fathering two children out of wedlock with one of his students. He was caught because his baby was admitted to hospital for having hair tied so tightly around his penis that it was almost severed. His daughter, Mary Kay LeTourneau, was convicted of having an adulterous affair with one of her students, and giving birth to two of his children.

Doesn't that just tell you how fucked up the US is, it certainly does to me? Why the hell is the age of consent so different dependent on the state you are in? There ought to be one law for the whole country, you shouldn't have to check your GPS to determine if sex with a 16 year old is legal or not! Gigi Goyette also said that she rode her horse to the Malibu restaurant where they met, not sure I believe that either. Don't get me wrong, which I am sure you will anyway, I don't have a lot of time for Arnie but I have even less time for your stupid laws. How fucking absurd is it that California is the porn capital of the world yet the age of consent is 18, that is just truly bizarre!!

On June 11, 2007, Craig was arrested at the Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport on suspicion of lewd conduct. The nature of the alleged activity has been categorized by some as cottaging. According to the police report, the police officer sat in a bathroom stall as part of an undercover operation investigating complaints of sexual activity in the restroom. After about 13 minutes of sitting in the stall, the police officer observed Craig lingering outside and frequently peeking through the crack of the door on the stall. Craig then entered the stall to the left of the officer's stall. The police officer made the following observations, which he recorded in his report of the incident, as to what happened next:
At 1216 hours, Craig tapped his right foot. I recognized this as a signal used by persons wishing to engage in lewd conduct. Craig tapped his toes several times and moves his foot closer to my foot. ... The presence of others did not seem to deter Craig as he moved his right foot so that it touched the side of my left foot which was within my stall area. Craig then proceeded to swipe his left hand under the stall divider several times, with the palm of his hand facing upward.

Parker J. Bena was a Republican activist and a key player in the campaign to elect George W. Bush as President. Bena was charged and later pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and lying to the FBI. Bena reportedly told the feds that he had received an unsolicited e-mail containing pictures of children (some as young as three years old) performing various sexual acts, but agents learned that he had in fact voluntarily entered a number of child pornography websites and downloaded the images himself. This is said to have involved acts with children as young as 3 years old, on his home computer. Parker J. Bena was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison and fined $18,000.

Ken Calvert, Congressman (R-California), has been called the champion of the Christian Coalition and its "family values." But in reality, Ken Calvert was sued as an alimony "deadbeat dad" by his ex-wife who said, "We can't forgive what occurred between the President and Lewinsky." In 1993, Calvert was caught by police officers receiving oral sex from a prostitute. He attempted to flee the scene but apparently couldn't move fast enough to get away from police, and was arrested.
 
Now, Brother Leon, I'm sure that many Democrats have also been caught over the years in similar circumstances, and our "friends", the JPP Conservadurrs® will doubtless squeak that it is unfair not to acknowledge that sad fact.

However, it seems to me that that a party that has proclaimed itself the moral guardian of the nation and claims to be "family-friendly" may have left itself wide open to charges of hypocrisy.

In 2006, he was indicted for seducing a 14-year-old girl, who was actually a sheriff's deputy working undercover, on the internet. He was arrested on April 4, 2006, at his home in Silver Spring, Maryland. Five months later, he pled no contest. On November 17, 2006, he was sentenced to five years in prison, with ten years of probation, and he was registered as a sex offender. Doyle was incarcerated at Wakulla Correctional Institution Annex in Leon County, Florida. He was released from prison on January 15, 2011

From the party of Family Values comes the latest staffer arrested for multiple charges of child sex crimes.

KWCH-TV reported on Thursday that Matthew P. Pennell, a staffer for GOP Kansas Representative Tim Huelskamp’s Dodge City office, was arrested and charged with 17 counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

Upon learning of the arrest, Mary Kelly, Huelskamp’s chief of staff, told the news agency on Saturday that Pennell was “immediately” placed on leave, “without pay until further notice.”

She added that “Because this is an ongoing investigation, we are unable to provide further comment on this time.”

The Dodge City Police Department arrested Pennell after an investigation with members of the Internal Crimes against Children task force. His case was filed with the Ford County Attorney’s office, and his bond was set at $75,000.

Huelskamp represents Kansas’ first district, and according to his Facebook, Pennell worked with Huelskamp in 2014.
