They are slugs but they are useful slugs. They don't cost the Democrat Party a dime yet they are reliable votes.

I thanked your post because in the general sense you are correct about how they vote...but I personally know people who vote republican and hate that they are forced to be a part of a union that supports the opposite of what they believe. Too, I know people, who are democrat who are not slugs....but they are just a few

Like any big business/corporation there are jackass bosses. Employees need an advocate to defend them. The "government" is not supervising the average employee. It is a regular person, a lead hand, a foreman, an office manager....whatever one wishes to call them....regular people capable of being prejudiced, unfair, miserable.....a jackass.

And thus was chosen the mascot of the Democratic Party.....so very appropriate....
