I don't watch ANY news. I read articles from various sites.

I know that you know Republicans in real life. I know a lot of Democrats too.

We're talking about politicians. Our government and the Congress.

I'm sure that they can find a cake. Personally I would not want to buy a cake from someone that had a religious objection to making me a cake. I personally think its a dumb reason but I also think religion is protected by the constitution. You should be free to practice it as your conscious dictates.

Well I always say let free market dictate in an experimental setting in some small cities.
 
I look at the cake issue like the Obama administration trying to make the Little Sisters of Charity offer birth control. Personally I think birthcontrol is just fine but I also think its wrong to force people to violate their religious principles.

It's a hard issue to be sure. Imagine the outrage if that particular cake baker refused to make a cake for an interracial couple.

Also, there is a glaring hypocrisy on their part because they wouldn't have any problem making cakes for those who remarry.

Depends on what faith they are . The Bible supports interracial marriages. It doesn't support gay marriage. Personally who you love isn't my business you will have to take it up with God on your own someday.
