Joe Biden - "Time to put Trump in the bullseye."
All games in AZ and no fans and lots of 7 inning-game doubleheaders.

apr 7 2020 Per ESPN, the league’s plan “would dictate all 30 teams play games at stadiums with no fans in the greater Phoenix area, including the Arizona Diamondbacks’ Chase Field, 10 spring training facilities and perhaps other nearby fields. Players, coaching staffs and other essential personnel would be sequestered at local hotels, where they would live in relative isolation and travel only to and from the stadium, sources said. Federal officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as the National Institute of Health have been supportive of a plan that would adhere to strict isolation, promote social distancing and allow MLB to become the first professional sport to return.”

In addition, the league is proposing other, possible in-game rule changes to comply with public health rules to stop the spread of coronavirus. These could include:

- Players and coaches sitting in the stands, spaced at least six feet apart, rather than in the dugout.

– Using an electronic strike zone to calls balls and strikes, so the home plate umpire could remain separated from the batter and catcher.

– No mound visits from catchers or coaches.

– Implementing seven-inning double-headers, to possibly catch up on missed games and achieve a 162-game regular season.

I'm for sports restarting without fans, as long as they are willing to be in a jail situation until the emergency is over.

The key word there is "wants to," but won't happen unless circumstances change drastically, too big a risk for owners to take with millions invested in valuable players. Remember, you don't have to show symptoms to be a carrier

Now could a first baseman cover first with a runner on? Whatabout the catcher, hitter, and umpire standing on top of each other at the plate?

The players themselves are all young healthy guys. They don't have much to worry about. The problem was always the fans.

So when someone is on first..the first baseman has to be 6 feet apart

How do u tag someone from 6 feet away

Anyone who is still ignorant of the facts about this virus doesn't have any sympathy from me.

Fuck’em ... just one less Moron.

Smart move.

They will smash the ratings.

Maybe but BB is a slow boring game and they really need fans to liven things up. I think now is the time to really speed up the games and stop all the dawdling pitchers and hitters do. A 7 inning game should last just 90 minutes.

You’re talking about probably 100 million ish sports starved sports fans that will watch ANYTHING with a ball right now.

Baseball is a leisurely game, the longer the games last, the better.

Bring back baseball...now.

All sports are boring without fans, maybe baseball more so, but still.

Without fans, watching baseball wil like watching a second rate commedy without a laugh track. People will be trying to figure out what they ever liked about it.

I suspect baseball will put some crowd noise into the televised games. Would be easy to do.

Is the catcher within 6 feet of the batter?

Yes or No

I wondered about that too. I think they should put the catcher 6 feet behind the hitter and then put a backstop right behind the catcher to stop the passed balls. Make it out of some foam so the balls will stop right there.
