It's the concept Onceler... The reality is that pendulum swings and you aren't liking the way it flowed. I've never called for Obama to repudiate Maher, I simply point out that the man isn't "just a comedian"... He's an entertainer like Rush, but he's more than just a "comedian".
The idea that anytime somebody who supports you disagrees you have to run out to the nearest microphone to reject them is silly. You don't apply it to Obama, it takes hypocrisy to apply it to Romney.

No, that isn't necessary. But the birther issue is a huge issue that dominated the news yesterday; he absolutely should repudiate Trump on that. If I'm his advisor, that's just common sense.
