mitzie will not repudiate trump on birther issue

does Trump need repudiating on the birther issue?......does the left repudiate all the folks who believe stupid things?.....obviously not, there would be very few left to vote for them.....
 
I think it is silly to ask everybody to constantly repudiate every person they disagree with on each issue. No candidate would ever be able to do anything but stand around with lists of people they need to repudiate because they didn't agree perfectly.

I repudiate Joe Blow because he thinks its okay to kill babies in the second trimester, and his sister who believes it is okay even in the third, however I only think it is okay in the first... I also repudiate Jim his father who thinks that all abortion is bad.... blah, blah...

trump is hardly a minor person to mitzie - he is a major contributor and supporter - your straw man just got blown away

Even people who contribute often disagree. It would still take forever to go through that list. Do you think they should gather a list of every belief of every contributor so they can repudiate them posthaste, or do you think they should wait for you to tell them what they should repudiate?

Seriously. It's silly to assume everybody has to agree on even something like this. It is something that has little consequence in the real world. Obama is President even if this contributor doesn't believe he was born in Hawai'i.

That's silly. Trump isn't some no-name contributor. It's a high-profile contributor who has taken a very high-profile position that is being widely covered by the media.
 
Saying that Trump is just another contributor is a slight understatement where he sponsored a major fundraiser expected to net Mitt Romney's campaign $2 million in one night. No?

So the same standard should apply to persons who endorse a candidate unsolicited and person who endorse a candidate and which throw fundraisers for that candidate at which the candidate appears and accepts millions of dollars?

That makes a lot of sense.

And, frankly, I don't understand what the hell this has to do with Obama at all. It has to do with Romney and his embrace of the lunatics on the right while simultaneously pretending he isn't really one of them.

From a person who thinks that Maher, with a $1,000,000 donation is something to ignore.

Either we call for everybody to repudiate every supporter that they have a disagreement with or we realize that nobody is going to agree with people 100%.
