Will be announced this week. Let the speculation begin...

Mitt Romney has reached a decision on his running mate, his friends believe, and he may disclose it as soon as this week, the New York Times reports.

Meanwhile, Sen. John Thune (R-SD) told The Hill that he's been to Boston to meet Romney's senior advisers and has met Beth Myers, who is leading the search for the vice presidential nominee.

It may last a little longer than half a day like the Rice rumor.

I still want Rick Scott. Please God, let it be him.

I certainly share and fully understand your sentiment in that regard. It would be the greatest blessing that Florida has gotten in a very long time.

I am not sure Romney has even made the decision yet. But Rice is not on the real list. If he were going to go with anyone other than a white male it would be Senator Ayotte IMO. However, I suspect in the end he will go with either Pawlenty or Portman.

Unless he is dumb, or very scared of this Bain stuff, he will not anounce until after the Olympics.

I belive this is simply another feble attempt to change the subject.

If he picks Scott, the Governor will not resign, then they will lose the election. Unless Scott then pulls a Palin and quits... we would still be stuck with him for two more years. I know a few Republicans preparing to run against Scott.

Yeah if he announces his VP pick this week, then we know they're terrified of the Bain stories.

When he does anounce his pick it will let us know how confident he really is.

Very Confident, he will pick Portman or Pawlentee.

Scared to death, he will choose Rubio or something off the wall like Rice. Just like when McCain chose Palin.

I know...pick Palin!!!!!!!

Hell, with how he has been handeling his campaign thus far, I would not be suprised...!

Dixie is the only person on the planet who thinks that Sara Baracuda would be a good choice for Mitt.

Another Bain deflection?

I guess I was right...

and wrong. This lasted about, what?, two hours?

Rumors are swirling that former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney will pick his vice presidential candidate this week, although Romney adviser Eric Fehrnstrom told reporters Monday that “no decision’s been made.”

Don’t hold your breath.

The Republican National Convention is over a month away, and no non-incumbent candidate has picked a VP so far ahead of his party’s nominating confab. Most picks come within a week of the event.
