mittens required several years of tax returns from candidates

oh, i used to be a repug not too many years ago until they got hijacked by the chrisitian coalition

they used to be fiscal conservatives and for personal freedom

now they toe the christian line

also, the tea baggers party line

if they were fiscal conservatives they would raise taxes on everyone while keeping the social contract with the citizens

i am a social progressive and a fiscal conservative and no party serves my interests

i am all for taxing the wealthy, they have had enough tax cuts and produced no jobs, so lets try raising their taxes and see what happens, at least we will not go as far in to debt

lets regulate wall street and the banks (reinstate glass stegall), all the deregulation of the former has produced is a major recession and more wealth for wall street and banks

bummer

i wasn't talking about you don. i don't think you're a democrat and i do believe you're an independent.

1. fiscal conservatives and personal freedom
- yes, the gop has left these ideals far behind. that said, so have the dems.

2. christian and tea party
- not so sure if they toe the line, but they definitely are heavily influenced by the religious right and the tea party.

3. fiscal conservatives
- i disagree. you can be fiscally responsible without raising taxes on everyone. you know this as you used to be a gop member.

4. social progressive/fiscal conservative
- you and i are the same in this regard.

5. taxing the wealthy
- i am for raising the taxes on those who make over 400K a year.

6. glass steagall
- i agree

how about the fact that he is losing support among independents

i am an independent and wonder what is he hiding

what about his off shore accounts

his swiss accounts

do have a cite for that? and make sure the cite says it is about his refusal to release tax returns.

i got a little carried away with the tax everyone, the poor and middle class need a continued tax cut, for now, but the wealthy are another story altogether

what really worries me is the citizens united ruling and the huge amounts that the wealthy are contributing to the repugs so they can continue to get their tax cuts and more tax cuts, that and the repug social engineering, whatever happened to the repub less government

bummer

it was per cnn live (i get a lot of my information from there), i do not have a specific cite for you regarding the tax return thing right now

their latest poll show mittens losing ground (in general and with independents, i am not sure that is due to his refusal to release his tax returns, but they have mentioned several times that it is costing him votes) although they expect him to get a 2% bump from the convention

i stopped watching cnn today after they ran a one hour mittens/pr love fest (about the nomination and what it will do for mittens among conservatives)

as i have posted elsewhere, mittens had to nominate pr because of pressure from the radical right of his party where he was losing ground

mittens popularity with registered voters has been slipping but i expect it to rebound among conservatives (his base), but will pr do him any real good among independents and undecided

there is that whole ryan/repug budget that cuts in to medicare and lowers taxes for the wealthy to overcome

oh well

so we have the opinion of CNN and those they chose to publish. i don't believe it, nor do i think it matters.

romney is not going to win. ryan is not going to help him. romney is a distraction from obama winning, nothing more.

unless some serious game changer occurs, i agree with you

mittens picking pr is an indication of just how much he is running scared

i can only hope that obama wins by a sufficient margin that he will not be accused of 'stealing' the election

or if mittens wins (i hope not) the same for him'

this nation is just too divided and i fear no matter who wins it will only get worse :(

i think that the gop ideal went out the window when they realized how much power they could grab through politics and double speak. btw...the wealthy contribute to both parties don. the pubs don't hold the patent on having rich folks give them money....just follow who wall street gave money to in 08'.

i truly wish there could be a viable TP candidate.

unfortunately, i think that we are a long way from a viable tp

bummer

what is with you and the word 'bummer'? you've been using that word all day.

i use that and oh well, however, my recently deceased brother :( used bummer exclusively, so i use it in his honor

i still miss him, his twin was killed in 1967, he was a marine lance corporal

however, i still have my wife and children and grandchildren

i have undergone several surgeries so that i will be able to dance at my older son's older daughter's wedding, i have at least two more to go

the latest was a back surgery to correct a spinal compression fracture and because i had thyroid cancer, they did a biopsy (the results are not back yet, but i expect them to be ok)

dang, i think i may have included too much information, sorry about that

oh well
