Mitt Romney announces exploratory committee for presidential bid

LOL!! Elect a mormon and see what happens! Learn a lesson from Arizona before you do.

LDS politicians in the current Arizona Legislature:

Ken Bennett, District 1 (R), Senate President
Sylvia Laughter, District 2 (I), House
Joe Hart, District 3 (R), Chairs House Environment Committee
Jack Brown, District 5 (D), Senate Minority Leader
Franklin L. "Jake" Flake, District 5 (R), House President
William Konopnicki, District 5 (R), House
Karen Johnson, District 18 (R), Chair House Rules Committee
Russell Pearce District 18 (R), Chair House Appropriations Committee
Marilyn Jarrett District 19 (R), Senate
Charles D. "Chuck" Gray, District 19 (R), House
Gary Pierce, District 19 (R), Chair House Transportation Committee
Warde Nichols, District 21 (R), House
Thayer Verschoor District 22 (R), Sub-Appropriations Chair Senate
Andy Biggs, District 22 (R), House
Eddie Farnsworth, District 22 (R), House Majority Leader

Both the Speaker of the House, Jake Flake, and the President of the Senate, Ken Bennett are LDS. So is the Senate Minority leader Jack Brown. Marilyn Jarrett is the Majority Whip. Mormons also chair some powerful committees, (Karen Johnson House Rules, Russell Pearce, House Appropriations) so they can hold any bills that they don't like.

Politics in Az are a joke. Useless meaningless laws, fear mongering and corruption. Romney will represent the Mormon church first, then the American people just like mormons do in AZ.

damn nagging from multiple wives, bet mormons have a high suicide rate.

actually mormon women are quite subservient to their husbands. they believe they won't get into heaven unless their husband calls their secret names and are usually busy with 6-8 kids or stands quietly with hands folded while smiling nicely at their husband-god.

"In the temple marriage ceremony, women are given secret names known only to their husbands, for identification purposes, so their husbands can pull them through to "the other side" after death...

After death, while their husbands are creating and ruling over planets, the women have the questionable honor of bearing his "spirit children" for eternity. These spirit children descend to their Father's planet to inhabit bodies as mortals, who are then ruled over by him. Mormon Doctrine states that these celestially married men and women "will live eternally in the family unit and have spirit children, thus becoming Eternal Fathers and Eternal Mothers" (516). A man who has multiple wives can beget many more spirit children, making him much more powerful. Birth control is, of course, very strongly discouraged. Ambitious Mormon men must beget many children with as many wives as possible, for "their glory (in heaven) is in proportion to the number of their wives and children" (Snowden 141).

Please oh please run a mormon republicon for prez.

Those are some pretty bigoted remarks...

Yeah, I was wondering if the anti-Catholic rhetoric was similar when JFK was running. Imagine just saying no brother should be President because of how Oakland is run. Probably wouldn't go over well.

LOL, I love this: "Mormons believe that Elohim is their heavenly father, and he lives with his many goddess wives on a planet near a mysterious star called Kolob."

Sounds like Charlie Sheen on an acid trip...

In all seriousness, I don't think Mitt Romney actually believes that... but even if he does, it makes no difference to me, so long as he is serious about downsizing government.

Harry Reid is a Mormon and I don't see liberals complaining about him. Looks like a case of selective bigotry.
