Mitch McConnell reveals a fundamental truth about donald trump

you dont know that.
Inflation started when Biden was elected, and took off after he was in Office
He spent even more then a derelict Congress did under Trump. HE IS STILL CALLING FOR MORE SPENDING

Inflation isn't just the pandemic (shortages) it's Congress and monetary policy

I already said it was my opinion, not my knowledge.

"While some economists say the stimulus packages passed in response to the Covid-19 pandemic are having an impact on inflation, it's misleading to suggest that's the only explanation for the recent rise in inflation. Blaming it exclusively on Democratic spending proposals misrepresents what's actually been passed, and ignores the trillions of dollars in spending passed last year supported by Republicans and signed by then-President Donald Trump which economists say have also contributed to inflation.

Last year, Congress passed two bills totaling around $3 trillion in Covid relief spending -- the $2 trillion Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act passed in March 2020, and the $900 billion pandemic relief bill passed in December 2020. Both were signed by Trump and supported by Republicans. The economic stimulus packages, including the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan signed by Biden in March 2021, which contained at least one tax credit program which is already in effect, have contributed to inflationary pressures but are not the only reason behind the spike, experts say.

"Inflationary pressures are arising from a variety of factors: supply chain issues, the reopening of the economy, over $2 trillion of excess household savings, accommodative monetary policy, President Trump's $900 billion December stimulus, and [Biden's] $1.9 trillion stimulus," said Michael Strain, Director of Economic Policy Studies for conservative think tank, the American Enterprise Institute."

Okay. Then disregard the first sentence in my reply to you.

the RATE of inflation in the USA is record breaking and higher then most developed countries.
This was not the case under Trump -see if you can post more then a simplistic blurb

There is not an inflation control in the White House where a president can turn up or down inflation rates!

WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU THINKING?

Oh, I get it- BLAME EVERYTHING ON BIDEN NO MATER WHAT!

I addressed a couple of points. Biden gets a fee pass from the press in most cases.
The Hunter Laptop and the obvius quid pro quo in Ukraine for Burisma
I addressed inflation - it started as soon as Biden was elected - the Trump recovery did not have inflation

Do i need to repeat this again?

This is about the Turtle Man and the Orange Oaf.

Stop deflecting.

i dont disagree. I thnki i mentioned spending by Trump as well as Biden. The difference is Biden thinks he needed more ([Biden's] $1.9 trillion stimulus) and is still clamoring for more
The rest of this rings true
I wont get into energy -a separate thread

They seem totally oblivious to the real reasons why inflation is raging, namely pouring gasoline on a raging fire is not a good idea. This was written back last November.

With inflation now spiraling out of control, passing Build Back Better would be sheer insanity

When prices started shooting up this year after President Joe Biden took office, he insisted inflation was merely “transitory” and would soon vanish. Instead, it’s risen ever-faster — up 6.2 percent in October vs. a year ago, the Labor Department reported Wednesday, for the biggest jump in 31 years.

Yet Biden’s economic prescription in November is still the same as in January: Spend more, tax more, borrow more.

No matter that his policies have inflation accelerating, starting to spiral out of control: In January, the last Trump month, prices were up just 1.4 percent over the prior year. By March, it was 2.6 percent; April, 4.9 percent. Over the summer, the 12-month uptick hovered at 5.4 percent; now it’s spurted to 6.2 percent.

Meanwhile, wholesale prices last month were a truly scary 8.6 percent higher than a year ago, the seventh straight month they soared at record clips. That guarantees yet more hikes in consumer prices.

The numbers shocked economists, who’d expected smaller increases. San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank President Mary Daly called it “eye popping.” Bank of America economist Michelle Meyer frets at how price increases are expanding all across the economy: “The broadening of inflationary pressures” is “striking.”

Fuel-oil prices are up nearly 60 percent; furniture, 13 percent; gas at the pump, 50 percent; eggs 12 percent; used cars, 26.4 percent. Your Thanksgiving turkey may set you back fully twice as much as in 2019. Team Biden is warning Americans to brace for sticker shock on heating costs this winter.

It also means “rising” pay really isn’t: Adjusted for inflation, average weekly earnings are now down 1.6 percent since last year.

Biden admits the news is bad, claiming Wednesday that “reversing the trend” is his “top priority.” So why is he still pushing his multitrillion-dollar Build Back Better plan, which can only make matters worse?

Sen. Joe Manchin (W. D-Va.) has it right: “The inflation tax is real, and DC can no longer ignore the economic pain Americans feel every day.” If Democrats still ram the bill through, Americans will know who to blame for yet more of that pain.

Trump would sooner chop off his own dick than take responsibility.

Agree. Here's the trump version of taking responsibility.

"President Donald Trump seemed poised to take responsibility for his failure on Covid-19 at Thursday’s presidential debate — and then he didn’t.

“I take full responsibility,” Trump said. He immediately continued: “It’s not my fault that it came here. It’s China’s fault.”

Reliable RW talking point from an article that's almost six months old.

I pointed out that the article was from last November, so what? Here is another one from February saying much the same thing, are you going to accuse CNBC of being right wing as well?

Fed influence, shaky forecasts, delayed decisions: How the Biden administration misread the inflation threat

You criticize Biden almost every day, yet I've never seen you criticize BoJo for the increasingly high inflation in the UK.

LONDON -- British consumer prices rose at the fastest pace in 30 years last month, fueled by soaring costs for household energy and motor fuels — the latest grim figures as inflation surges around the world.
Inflation in the United Kingdom accelerated to 7% in the 12 months through March, the highest annual rate since March 1992, the Office for National Statistics said Wednesday.

The U.K. faces what economists say will be the biggest drop in living standards since the mid-1950s as rocketing energy costs, rising food prices and tax increases overshadow higher wages.

You are so far off. This thread is about Trump never taking the blame for his messes and crimes. You respond by attacking Biden. Putin contributed to world inflation with his war of choice. It is just that easy. There is nobody of value who argues against that.

Biden is the President you stupid fuck. Trump is gone.

Trump is hardly "gone." He still runs the GOP.

It's funny that conservatives here don't like talking about him. He's likely your '24 nominee.

He has nothing to do with the GOP. That is just a boogeyman the democrats put out to keep those of less intelligence enthralled with it. Anything to keep everyone looking the other way from Bidens fuck ups.
