When a group of conservative leaders and donors meet for the American Enterprise Institute's annual World Forum this week, there will be one notable absence: former President Trump.
The former president wasn't invited to the gathering in Sea Island, Ga., a Republican source confirmed to The Hill. The absence was first reported on Sunday by CBS News.
The forum is expected to feature appearances by a handful of Republican critics of Trump, like Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, as well as several Democrats, including Brian Deese, the director of the National Economic Council.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), who has sought to move the GOP past Trump, is also slated to speak at the gathering.
While the conservative-leaning AEI previously backed some of Trump's policies during his tenure in the White House, several of the think tank's fellows have spoken out against the former president.

There wouldn't be a war in Ukraine right now if Biden had not defrauded the 2020 election processes, and Trump was POTUS. Biden's cringeworthy weakness, coupled with his unbelievably botched Afghanistan withdrawal, and his insane decisions to axe Keystone-XL and ANWAR (in Alaska) and stop (or heavily restrict) fracking/drilling in the US, confirmed for Putin that the time was ripe to "go for it" re invading Ukraine. If I were Putin I'd probably have thought the same thing) In any case Biden actually gave Putin a "green light: with his remark about a "minor invasion/incursion" into Ukraine being OK by him. That at least, that was the clear message he sent ???!!! (what a f**king dickhead Biden is - it totally blows my mind !).

Was Russia attacking another nation when Trump was in office? I don't give a red rat's ass where we buy our US oil from because I understand it is just a game of thrones. I also understand the need for differing grades of sulfur content.
What I do mind is the fact we sending money to a nation that is attempting to take over another against their will. We are getting about 3.5 % of our petroleum from Russia. Surely, even you can see a way around this issue without supporting a waring state.

Can you provide a source that tells us how much Russian oil was purchased since Feb 24 and the war started? You can't so any claims about what was purchased is speculation on your part.
3.5% of our oil from Russia? ROFLMAO. Now you are just making yourself look stupid. We get the majority of our petroleum from domestic production. The US has a total production of 21M barrels per day of which about 8M are imported and 6M are exported. For the month of December we got 12M barrels for the entire month from Russia. That means we got less than 1% of our petroleum from Russia
