heavy criticism after attempting to claim credit for recent FBI raids on Minnesota daycare centers despite allegations of state-level obstruction.
The Department of Justice executed warrants at nearly two dozen sites as part of a massive fraud investigation into state-funded childcare programs. While Walz posted on social media claiming the raids were the result of state and federal agencies sharing information, FBI Director Kash Patel forcefully rejected the claim, stating the FBI and DOJ drafted and executed every warrant while the fraud plagued Minnesota under the Governor’s watch.
Tim Walz claimed the raids were the result of state agencies reporting "irregular behavior," but federal officials have publicly dismissed his involvement. Kash Patel told Walz to "come again" and asserted that the FBI and DOJ were responsible for the entire operation.
