But in this instance it was a #NeverTrump PAC doing the lefts dirty work.
For weeks I was asking what was so terrible about Milo that people would burn a college campus to shut him down and nobody responded. From that I surmised, there wasn't much of anything; rather, the problem was Milo was dangerous.
This is classic Alinsky [strong work, NeverTrumpers]: destroy your opponents so as to marginalize them. And it worked. Who wants to listen to what a pedo has to say?
Politically, I don't know if this is the hill Trump supporters should want to die on. You just don't advocate pedophilia in any way shape or form. What's ironic is that Milo didn't 'do' anything---it was what he said. People on the left can get away with nuanced arguments in support of it, but if you are on the right and ESPECIALLY if you are in any way shape or form associated with Trump, you might as well have your feet set in buckets of concrete and jump in the river.
Because it will be a political death sentence. Which is about where Milo is.
But here's the rub: it's kind of too late for the left. They say there's no such thing as bad publicity. Young people are going to be curious about Milo after the riots and after his tape surfaced. It's impossible to shut people down when the world is networked the way it is.
