"Might have to give those millions back": Legal experts say Jack Smith could "seize" Trump PAC cash:good4u:

Special counsel Jack Smith appears to be far from wrapping up his investigation into former President Donald Trump's post-2020 election scheme and his team has held at least one interview this week related to the finances of the ex-president's political action committee, according to Politico.

Smith's team on Monday interviewed Bernie Keris, a former New York City police commissioner and longtime associate of former Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani, according to the report. Prosecutors questioned Kerik in a "closed-door" interview about how the Save America PAC raked in huge amounts of cash between Election Day and the deadly Capitol insurrection. Kerik's lawyer, Tim Parlatore, told Politico that prosecutors were shining a "laser focus from Election Day to Jan. 6."

Parlatore also shared that prosecutors asked several questions about Boris Epshteyn, an attorney who currently works on Trump's campaign and as his in-house counsel, as well as Justin Clark, who was the deputy campaign manager of Trump's re-election.

Though Trump's election subversion indictment did not include any financial crimes, Politico reported that the interview with Kerik demonstrates, at the very least, "the clearest indication of Smith's focus" since the special counsel handed down the indictment against Trump.

Earlier this month, The New York Times reported that Save America's funds were dwindling after Trump was forced to pay out numerous lawyers amid his seemingly-unending indictments and court cases — the PAC reported less than $4 million in its account after starting last year with more than $105 million.

The floundering PAC was even forced to request a whopping $60 million dollar refund from pro-Trump super PAC, Make America Great Again Inc., with the New York Times reporting that the refund was issued to Save America in installments seemingly timed to Trump's various legal woes.

I've been wondering when, since Trump does not pay income taxes or report campaign funds to the Voting Commission.

Expect some new felonies to come down soon on POOR INNOCENT LITTLE DONNIE!

These are not just Pac funds, we're taking about 100's of thousands of individual donations less than $25.

This is just more crap from Smith who apparently has a thing against Trump.

Trump isn't in control of PAC money, they can spend it on whatever they want per the law.

Even direct donations to his campaign are allowed to be spent on legal fees per the law.

Speed limits are set according to state law!

Correct and how to spend campaign donations are in federal law.

Not sure why you said it's not in the constitution.

Things have to be constitutional they don't need to actually be listed in the constitution for them to be legal.

The constitution does not address every issue our nation faces. It's merely a template except in some specific cases which is why we need the Supreme Court to interpret it.

Federal prosecutors are already investigating Save America PAC's fundraising efforts in the wake of the 2020 election. Trump and his team are alleged to have continued to ask for donations from the former president's supporters to fight the false election fraud claims, despite knowing that Trump had lost to Joe Biden fairly.

But, it is not the Justice Department that is stirring up trouble for Trump. It is the people who donated to this scam that are now upset, and they want their money back now, now asking the Justice Department to investigate, litigate, and help them get their money back from Trump!

This is a large part of his base that are now accusing Trump of running a scam- they are damn mad, and they want their money back.

Trump blows it again- Fucks himself- by lying to and cheating his own base of supporters out of their money.

This is Trump University on steroids. Trump already had to settle on that for 25 million dollars. These people are asking for 60 million dollars! And looks like now there is only 4 million dollars left available. Trump spent over 40 million of their dollars in legal fees. And who know what he spent the other 16 million on?
Wow! Just Wow!

I haven't heard of people being upset by that.

Besides, Trump doesn't run PACS as that is illegal. They can not directly contribute to a campaign.

They operate independently of the candidate.

Well, I suggest you back up and start reading about how Trump's Scam has now landing him in more trouble with the Feds and his own people that were scammed out of their money.

You are listening to Trump's stupid lawyers that have been giving him, and you, and all of the other FOX NEWS home viewers, some very bad legal advice about how these pacs work!

These are two kinds of Pacs, and they each have their own set of rules, and Trump shifted money from one to the other, and that is where his legal troubles began!

These are just more false charges being leveled against Trump.

Nobody is being scammed about anything.

Now who are you going to believe- Trump's lawyers or me?

I feel sorry for Trump's legal teams right now. They are having to dance a dance right now, I get that!

But, they are up against too much! And there is no defense for what Donald has done!

Why would they hate it, they probably love it.

It's exciting and challenging.

You think lawyers like to be bored or something?
