imo you are wrong. What you are saying as based off conventional wisdom but has nothing to do with the current political climate. The #1 worry of the GOP was that this would be a low turnout election. That would have meant the Democrats who are angry turned out while the GOP voters did not. A high turnout election means the GOP base became just as energized as the democrat one.

Thank you for your "opinion."

If you read what I wrote more carefully, you would have noticed that I differentiated between previous and current "political climate."

I am saying in previous political circumstances...HIGH TURNOUT seemed to favor Democrats. Many Democratic Party voters simply did not turn out for elections...especially mid-term elections. Republicans seemed to be more dedicated.

TODAY...I am not willing to commit in that direction...because our "political climate" is being influenced by circumstances that are, to be kind, UNUSUAL. The abomination, Donald Trump, and his idiotic supporters definitely have changed that "climate"...or at least, have changed the weather.

In any case, sometime later tonight we will KNOW what the turnout was...and we will KNOW how it impacted the election.

TO EVERYONE...VOTE. AND DO NOT VOTE FOR ANY REPUBLICANS...EVEN IF IT IS SOMEONE RUNNING FOR LOCAL DOGCATCHER (or whatever they call those people these days.)

Trump has made the mid term election all about him.. He's hijacked it. Were you impressed when he bragged about "beautiful barbed wire"? Maybe he's too stupid to know the historic symbolism of barbed wire.
 
Republicans have the potential to gain nine seats in the Senate in addition to holding the ones they already have. If turnout heavily favors Republicans, and they manage this, it would give them the most Senate seats their party has had since 1909. 😮 Is anyone predicting this?

Not that I know of.

And I sure hope it doesn't happen.

It would be a disaster. Republicans have absolutely no ability to govern at all.
 
Republicans will hold the House and the Senate. Within 6 months funding for the wall will be passed and Obamacare will be repealed.
