I have never seen a violet person. Is this more of your racism? This discussion is about the conviction of a parent who gave her disturbed kid a deadly weapon and who failed to keep it secured exc. when he had parental supervision. Try to stay on topic. Thanks.

The parents were responsible gun owners until their kid pulled the trigger. All those guns in homes are waiting for the wrong person to use them. It happens all too often.

I don't think that allowing him access to the weapon w/o adult supervision is being a "responsible gun owner," particularly when they were aware that he had serious mental issues. Sending him a text telling him to "Don't get caught lol" is not a sign of responsible gun ownership either, unless by "responsible" you mean that they should be held liable for what he did with it.

Regardless of whether my political wishes ever come to fruition or not,
I can't imagine any kind of America where American's don't shoot one another routinely.

It's what we do,
and yet so many among us
won't ever stop talking about.

Just ban AR-15 type weapons so too many of us don't go down at once,
but don't start expecting Americans to act like other people.
Our fucked up history has beaten that out of us permanently.

Makes more sense to me to hold parents liable if they let the kid use the family car and he kills someone.

That too can be manslaughter. You are not allowed to give a car to someone who should not drive a car.

So? Are parents required to secure the family car?? No- they leave the keys laying around and if their teen kid drives off and kills someone on the highways, nothing is done to the parents.

Actually, they are required to secure a car. That is why car keys are required by law.
