2. Dish Network and Directv are private corporations that made business decisions to drop those networks because they weren't generating any profit for the MVPD. No one was watching them, and no major advertisers were buying ad time on them either. Networks appear on platforms like Dish Network and Directv through carriage agreements that are based on revenue sharing models or sub fees. If the network fails to reach the revenue goals or sub goals it worked out with the platform, then the platform is within its right to drop the networks. Those shitty networks can't attract enough advertisers to generate revenue in large enough amounts that it makes sense for the platform to continue carrying them.
It sounds to me like you want to use state power to dictate the business decisions of private corporations...which would make you a fucking fascist.
