Michael Steele let's McConnell (Racist-KY) have it - Take that Turtle Bitch

1) McConnell shouldn't tell Obama to keep his mouth shut

2) there has always been the unwritten rule that ex-Presidents show respect and don't speak out about those in office; so I think Steele's wrong in saying Obama should speak out about what's going on

Not following. Who are the rocks?

Steele is a CNN hack and a token Republican, always has been. Former President's traditionally don't interfere or intimate themselves into the affairs of current administrations but I don't black Obama because the noise is closing around his seditious coup plotting neck.

So, Obama exercising his free speech, which is not favorable to the Fuhrer(Trump) is seditious .

How much are you willing to put your Money where your Mouth is?

Do you actually think Donald J Trump will keep his mouth shut after his term?

... and will you be equally offended when he doesn't?

Apples and oranges. Trump is not a normal president.

I said nothing about being offended. What I stated is fact, Presidents have traditionally not spoken about their predecessors while in office. Times and traditions change but I’m not a fan of it (doesn’t matter who it is).

Mitch is really gonna' shart his britches over his new title- "Minority" leader.

And he will have gotten it the old fashioned way- "HE WILL HAVE EARNED IT"!

November can't get here soon enough! LOL!

Two things. First, the remark Obama made was leaked, it was not made in public. Second, unwritten rules are meant to be broken, and given that Trump poses and existential threat to our institutions, I'd like Obama to actually speak out in public about this disastrous administration. And that unwritten rule? It goes both ways. And Trump WILL NOT SHUT UP about Obama. So he gets zero benefit of the doubt.

Racist Freudian slip.

Obama was in a private call with several of his past campaign workers, he didn’t float it out there in public, no appearance on infotainment channels

And part of that “unwritten rule” is that current Presidents don’t consistently blame their difficulties on the prior Administration, perhaps a reference or two, but not blanket blame, something Trump does often and McConnell himself is guilty

I don’t know even know what Obama said. I haven’t paid attention. My comment about ex-presidents isn’t something new. They generally stay above the fray which I believe to be a good thing. We need elder statesmen in the country who can offer that (even if they were partisan during their time in office). Throwing that away because of Trump is very short sighted in my opinion.

I’m not aware of what you state in your second paragraph. Never heard that before.
