Capitol Police Officer Who Shot Ashli Babbitt Insists He Did Warn Her Before Opening Fire
Lt. Michael Byrd says Ashli Babbitt ignored his order to stay outside a barricaded door in the Capitol on January 6. A member of the pro-Trump mob standing next to her heard the warning.

Let's assume this is completely accurate. Byrd still didn't follow federal use-of-force guidelines and criminally shot Babbitt anyway. If Babbitt didn't hear the warning that counts, and given her position at the far end of the room from Byrd it's likely she didn't. Since she in any case didn't pose an immediate threat, the threshold for use of deadly force wasn't reached and Byrd reacted inappropriately and illegally in shooting her.

Since we know Byrd is a repeat offender of incompetence as a police officer, one can see why he'd fuck up here and should be held for murder charges to be an example to other officers as to why you don't want to be an incompetent fuck up.
