Mexican migrants aren’t spreading COVID in the U.S. No, Republicans are doing that

Actually you stupid dumb ass I am fully vaxed and yes I wear a mask when and where required.
I also am smart enough to know illegals entering the nation that are not vaxed and postive for covid spread it

If you had the intellect of a gnat you would also know that those immigrants are fully tested when they enter, and when they are released into the public square. And if you did not have your head so far up trumps ass you would also know that it was he that created the problem in large part by his ending foreign aid to Central America, and with his illegal "Stay in Mexico" program. But tell us fool, just how are the illegals spreading the virus in States that are not taking in immigrants? Are you really so stupid as to think all 50 States are being infected by illegals? The children too?

BTW, that "one person" that spread the virus in the beginning was not just "one person" when they got on the plane, and flew where ever they went.

Only numb nut morons think only republicans spread covid and that democrats and illegals dont.

The stupidity of of democrats are amazing. And they will tell any lie and do to themselves.

and then Biden cancelled it......

Biden did NOT, lying moron.

You're always so FOS.

August 2 2021
The Biden administration on Monday renewed a public health order that allows U.S. border agents to quickly expel migrants arriving at the border as the ACLU is resuming a legal challenge against its continued use.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued an updated order that maintains there is a public health justification, given the ongoing pandemic, for the Biden administration to continue kicking out migrants without allowing them to seek asylum. The order can remain in effect indefinitely.

Former President Donald Trump first made use of Title 42 at the start of the pandemic to expel migrants without allowing them to seek asylum.

Now that they’ve been proven wrong with their ridiculous claims that President Biden is a Socialist, and that the stock market would collapse, and that the U.S. economy would plummet under Biden’s administration, former President Trump and his right-wing followers are reverting to their original playbook: racism.

They are now blaming immigrants — Mexicans, specifically — for the upsurge in COVID-19 cases across the nation. It’s another big lie, just like the one that insists Trump won the election or that drinking bleach would kill COVID-19.

In recent days, Trump world has been spreading the falsehood that the surge of COVID-19 in the country is the result of Biden’s allegedly lax border policies.

Florida Gov.Ron DeSantis — who reportedly is campaigning to be the Trump-backed Republican candidate for president in 2024 — and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott are going gung-ho with the theory that the border is wide open to undocumented migrants.

DeSantis even had the nerve to claim on Aug. 4 that Biden is helping “facilitate” the spread of the virus because of the alleged influx of COVID-spreading Mexican migrants.

This comes from the same DeSantis who is one of the nation’s biggest COVID-19 enablers. He has, among other things, signed an executive order threatening school districts that require face masks with funding cuts; he has sued cruise-line companies that require passengers to be vaccinated.

But the argument that Mexicans or any other undocumented migrants are a major cause of COVID-19’s spread is based on lies.

First, it’s not true that Biden is allowing more COVID-19-carrying migrants into the country. In fact, more migrants have been expelled back to Mexico under COVID-19 prevention laws so far this year than during the entire final year of the Trump administration.

More than 500,000 migrants were expelled from February to June under Title 42, a public-health law the Trump administration began using in March 2020 to eject people at the border in the name of preventing COVID-19 infection, according to Factcheck.org. By comparison, there were 449,000 such expulsions from March 2020 to January 2021, it says.

Second, it’s not true that undocumented migrants who cross the border are the spreading the virus in the United States.

In fact, the biggest COVID-19 surges in the country are taking place in Florida and parts of Texas with mostly white unvaccinated — not Hispanic — populations. And the least vaccinated places in the country are mostly populated by Trump voters, according to several studies.

Third, migrants released at the border and who move to other locations have already been tested before leaving their shelters and determined to be COVID negative. They are perhaps the most thoroughly tested population in the country, Reichlin-Melnick told me.

So the real culprits of the spread of COVID-19 in Florida and Texas — two Republican-run states that account for the bulk of the current spike in contagions — are not Mexican immigrants, but unscrupulous Trump-backed politicians and right-wing news channels.

According to a new report by MediaMatters, in recent months “Fox News alone was responsible for pushing 325 segments that actively undermined coronavirus science.”

Trump world is simply trying to divert public attention from its own responsibility for fighting mask mandates and not actively supporting vaccinations. The governors of Florida and Texas are now resorting to thinly veiled racism — the perennial last resort of political scoundrels — to try to make us blame somebody else.

Mexican migrants are obviously not spreading the covid as is the usual case among repukes to project their own atrocities on others. Yet, its repukes that are cultivating a covid death zone environment to which repuke polluted districts have resulted in 1/3 of covid cases in America as in primarily so-called repuke led red state areas.

Covid Restrictions for Americans, None for Illegal Immigrants
https://www.wsj.com/articles/covid-restrictions-illegal-immigrants-border-11628176632

There's solid, overwhelming evidence that:

1. CBP doesn't have the means, time, or capacity to test every illegal they arrest for Chinese Disease. There are simply too many to deal with.

2. CBP is housing and transporting illegals they arrest in such a manner that transmission of Chinese Disease is a certainty to those not already infected. It only takes a few to infect hundreds.

3. CBP is releasing illegals from custody without knowing their status with regards to Chinese Disease.

If you go through the hundreds of articles on this, you get numbers anywhere from 6 to 30% of illegals being actively infected. Some hyperbolically claim 50% or more but those numbers are almost certainly high and wrong.
Even at 6% illegal immigration is currently the leading cause of new cases in the US. Again, depending on where you want to place the numbers of illegals released into the US there are somewhere between about 20,000 to 150,000 Chinese Disease cases among them. CBP doesn't know how many, and I doubt anyone else does.
For every one of those cases it would only take them giving it to one or two people to turn this into a national disaster.

The current surge in cases started after Biden took office and after the Southern border became an open door to illegal immigration. As the numbers arrested skyrocket, so does the number of cases of Chinese Disease in the US.

Another super spreader among illegal immigrants is tuberculosis.

Tuberculosis: Illegal immigrants bring new threats
https://www.tulsatoday.com/2014/07/14/tuberculosis-tb-illegal-immigrants-bring-serious-new-threats/

To try and say with a straight face that illegals aren't bringing disease into the US is absurd. They are. Since CBP only catches a fraction of those entering, many move into the US without even a cursory health check. Right now, the unprecedented, record breaking, number of illegals entering has created a situation where CBP can't even begin to make proper health and safety checks on those they catch.
Yet, apologists for the Joke administration try to claim Nothing to see here... They're fuller of shit than a septic tank. This is a national disaster created entirely by the Biden administration, due to their not even trying in the least to enforce immigration law.

Well you projecting assholes cannot blame this repuke enabled atrocity on immigrants:

Florida and Texas had 1/3 of all US COVID-19 cases in past week, official says

One-third of all US COVID-19 cases reported in the past week were in just two states -- Florida and Texas -- according to White House COVID-19 response coordinator Jeff Zients.

The cases are mainly in areas where vaccination rates remain low, Zients said at a briefing Monday.

"In fact, seven states with the lowest vaccination rates represent just about 8- 1/2% of the US population, but account for more than 17% of cases, and one in three cases nationwide occurred in Florida and Texas, this past week," Zients said.

In the past two weeks, daily case rates have gone up fourfold, according to Dr. Francis Collins, director of the National Institutes of Health.

The increase comes as the delta variant spreads and the percentage of fully vaccinated Americans hovers around 49.7%, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Hospitals are once again filling up with patients as the virus tears through the unvaccinated population.

"There are still about 90 million eligible Americans who are unvaccinated," Zients said. "And we need them to do their part, roll up their sleeves and get vaccinated. Each and every shot matters."

I'd add that it appears that the Black population is particularly hard hit by this new variant, and we know Blacks are one of the least vaccinated blocks of Americans ethnically.

It certainly doesn't help that there's likely 50,000 + cases due solely to illegal immigration in the US right now. Those were preventable by better border controls that the Joke administration has abandoned entirely. That was an entirely preventable situation that Joke and the Cackling Harlot created.

why do the libs keep posting the same lie over and over when even NBC has reported the truth......

FROM THAT SOURCE, STUPID, I ALREADY DID THIS ONCE-

WASHINGTON — More than 18 percent of migrant families and 20 percent of unaccompanied minors who recently crossed the U.S. border tested positive for Covid on leaving Border Patrol custody over the past two to three weeks, according to a document prepared this week for a Thursday briefing with President Joe Biden.

Some flights scheduled to deport migrants had more than 25 percent of passengers test positive before departure, leading Immigration and Customs Enforcement to remove those migrants from the flights for quarantine in the U.S., according to the document.

The Department of Homeland Security document does not give precise dates or say how many migrants were tested.

Migrants are not tested for Covid in Border Patrol custody unless they show symptoms, but all are tested when they leave Border Patrol custody, according to DHS officials.
Immigrants who are allowed to stay in the U.S. to claim asylum are given tests when they are transferred to ICE, Health and Human Services or non-governmental organizations. Deportees who are scheduled to be put on planes out of the U.S. are tested for Covid and other infectious diseases by ICE.

If a migrant who is about to be deported by ICE tests positive for Covid, the migrant is quarantined and deportation is delayed, according to DHS. The document refers specifically to those migrants chosen for "expedited removal," meaning they were deported soon after they crossed or attempted to cross the U.S. border.

actually, you are dead wrong about everything, as usual. for instance, look at that map of texas- the only hot spot for covid is at mcallen- but the whole western border of texas is next to mexico from mcallen north, and there is hardly any infection there....look at how fucked up florida is, and it has had less immigrants from mexico taken to it than texas has, but is way more infected. you don't know shit.

The CDC reports demographic characteristics, including race/ethnicity, of people receiving COVID-19 vaccinations at the national level. As of August 2, 2021, CDC reported that race/ethnicity was known for 58% of people who had received at least one dose of the vaccine. Among this group, nearly two thirds were White (59%), 10% were Black, 16% were Hispanic, 6% were Asian, 1% were American Indian or Alaska Native, and <1% were Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, while 8% reported multiple or other race.

now compare those percentages to their percentage of the US population-

As of July 2016, White Americans are the racial majority. Hispanic and Latino Americans are the largest ethnic minority, comprising an estimated 18% of the population.[7] African Americans are the second largest racial minority, comprising an estimated 13.4% of the population.[8] The White, non-Hispanic or Latino population make up 61% of the nation's total, with the total White population (including White Hispanics and Latinos) being 77%

so, compare the percentage of white americans in the country to those getting vaccinations, and latino to latino, and black to black and you get

white total 77%, white vaccs 59%---under represented by 18%

latinos total 18%, latino vaccs 16%---under represented by 2%

blacks total 13%, black vaccs 10%--under represented by 3%

whites are way behind in ratio vaccinations....

if the american population is 320 million, and 77% are white, that means there are 246 million white folks. if only 59% are vaccinated, that means there are 100 million white folks not vaccinated. that is a lot of bozos. blacks make up 13% of the population, which would be 42 million, and 10% vaccinated, which means there are only about a million black folks walking around unvaccinated. and you want to blame them?

Maybe you should peruse carefully the article you cited and actually read the links to MediaMatters embedded in it. None of it is authoritative, and much of it no more than uninformed or biased opinion.
For example, the quote you take from the Herald piece linked to MediaMatters that says, “Fox News alone was responsible for pushing 325 segments that actively undermined coronavirus science.” Read the MediaMatters article. Most of what they claim is active undermining, is no such thing when reasonably read.

https://www.mediamatters.org/fox-ne...navirus-science-least-325-segments-january-25

That's the article cited.

This is one of the supposed 325 cases:

Likewise, Carlson implied in another clip earlier in March that social distancing and face masks amount to a violation of Americans’ rights.

That's opinion, and it doesn't "undermine" anything.

The article also offers this opinion, and it is opinion:
The consensus view from health officials here at home and abroad is clear: Masking, social distancing, and business closures all help slow the spread of the virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found both social distancing and cloth facial masking to be effective mitigation strategies, and studies suggest that lockdowns and closures saved millions of lives.

This is MediaMatters making an appeal to authority by cherry picking. It's the equivalent of "The science is settled" argument Gorebal Warming believers make when their views are challenged or questioned. The CDC is hardly the be-all, end-all, of authority on this matter and they've proven both wrong and conflicted on their advice to date regarding this issue.
A broader view would be that masks, lockdowns, and social distancing might have helped, or these techniques were largely worthless. It depends on who you want to pick for your 'expert' advice.

MediaMatters used no particular standard for judging the facts, information, or validity of the claims they slam other than their own biased (and definitely biased against Fox) opinion. That is, they are no more correct than Fox is wrong. You can take their opinion or leave it just as you can Fox's, but neither has some claim to greater validity.

Basically, the Herald article is opinion with a smattering of carefully picked facts that support that opinion while leaving out others that contradict it.

bullshit. you are the one trying to smear the Herald by connecting it to a valid source, media matters, because confused trump clowns believe it is "liberal," when really it is "reliable." the only part media matters added to that story was this fact- According to a new report by MediaMatters, in recent months “Fox News alone was responsible for pushing 325 segments that actively undermined coronavirus science.” I hardly ever watch that piece of shit propaganda channel but i believe i have seen all 325 segments, fool.

and you spewed this silly ass nonsense-

The article also offers this opinion, and it is opinion:
The consensus view from health officials here at home and abroad is clear: Masking, social distancing, and business closures all help slow the spread of the virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found both social distancing and cloth facial masking to be effective mitigation strategies, and studies suggest that lockdowns and closures saved millions of lives.

NO, DUMBASS. IT REALLY IS THE CONSENSUS OF HEALTH OFFICIALS HERE AND ABROAD...how can you deny such an obvious fact, pinhead?

who are obviously lying since the city of Brownsville TX found several hundred active Covid cases among illegals released into the public.......

not really, lying dickhead. here is the real deal-

The asylum seekers, who were previously waiting in Mexico under the Trump administration’s “remain in Mexico” policy, cannot enter the United States without a negative coronavirus test.

But, 108 migrants released in the past month in Brownsville tested positive for COVID-19, according to Rep. Henry Cuellar. Those are families traveling with young children who were detained by Border Patrol but released into Texas because Mexico won’t take them back.

Border Patrol doesn’t have the resources to test those families, so the City of Brownsville uses state-provided rapid tests.

While non-profit organizations offer hotel rooms to those who test positive for coronavirus to quarantine, the City of Brownsville can’t stop those families from traveling elsewhere.

“They are issued papers by (the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security) that allows them to travel north of the checkpoint,” said Sandra Sanchez, a journalist with Border Report. “It’s unclear how many people have actually gotten onto public transportation.”

CNN reported on Thursday that the Dept. of Homeland Security planned to use emergency funds to support efforts to test migrants in Border Patrol custody but, according to the network’s sources, Texas had not approved the grant.

Abbott responded in a statement shortly after the report, saying it’s the federal government’s responsibility to test and quarantine migrants.

“We will not aid a program that makes our country a magnet for illegal immigration,” Abbott said. (abbott does his best to interfere with federal policy to test these migrants, so he can bitch about it on fox noise like a stupid fucking asshole)

And, MediaMatters put out a biased, opinion piece on thin, cherry picked facts, that you chose to religiously believe. Government and bureaucrats are not my go-to choice for information I can trust. Neither is the various media. It takes wading through all of their opinions and bullshit, sifting through a proverbial mountain of idiotic sand to find the few gems of truth in what they're saying. I have, as of right now ZERO faith that the CDC or cretins like Fauci know what the hell they're talking about.

In that respect, my opinion is as good as yours and probably better.
