Oh, pipe down. I wasn't blaming Damo - he sounds busy these days. Doesn't matter; not sure why anyone feels a need to get snarky about it. I wanted the account deactivated, now I don't. Kind of like when Trump wanted to be a leader for every American, and then he didn't.

I'm new, so my view doesn't count for anything. But here goes:

Of course there is a "deep state", though I've always known it as the "governing elite". Whenever you get more than a few people together, someone is gonna try to set the rules for everyone else. The deep state in this day and time include all those who have power in government. For the federal deep state, it is primarily leftovers from the past eight years' administration, which is natural. If it had been a Republican president for the previous eight years, the deep state would include a LOT of Republicans. As it is, the deep state is comprised of mostly Democrats. It will take time to remove the Democrat deep state and install a Republican. Understand though, that a Republican deep state does not necessarily mean a conservative deep state. All of the Washington elite lean further left than their electorate.

But also, let us look at the House of Representatives. Can anyone deny that Paul Ryan is part of the governing elite? I trust Paul Ryan no further than I could physically throw him.

All those who have been in power want to keep their power and they will fight to keep every ounce of power they can.
