All that's left to make medical marijuana legal in Delaware is the signature of the governor who has said he would make it law.

The bill would allow people 18 and older with certain serious or debilitating conditions that could be alleviated by marijuana to possess up to six ounces of the drug.

The state Senate on Wednesday by at 17-4 vote gave its approval to the bill that cleared the House last week. It heads to the desk of Gov. Jack Markell.

Under the bill, qualifying patients would be referred to state-licensed and regulated "compassion centers," which would be responsible for growing, cultivating and dispensing the marijuana.

Delaware would join 15 other states and the District of Columbia in legalizing medical marijuana.

and all worthless efforts until you get the feds commerce clause power limited back to it's original intent.

bullshit, worthless to you because you don't care. The tide is coming in on this issue, sadly National politicians will not jump the band wagon till it's obvious to both sides the public overwhelmingly wants the war on it's own poor people to stop.

I don't care? are you that ignorant to what i've been railing about on this issue? I have CONSISTENTLY been on the bandwagon that the federal government has stretched and tortured the commerce clause til it's unrecognizable anymore. I completely believe that the constitution gives the feds ZERO authority or power to regulate the growth, possession, and use of marijuana by individuals on their own property.

your an assclown, much like Yurtsie(who pretends to be a lawyer on the internet). All you do is shoot down any progress with your wannabee lawyer speak commerce clause gayness.

yeah, commerce clause gayness which has been the cornerstone of the feds prohibiting pot for decades.

We've had Medical MJ in CO for a while now, it won't end civilization as you know it.

i'm sorry, did I somehow give off the impression that I think pot should remain prohibited? I may not use it or care for it, but I still believe the feds have no authority to prohibit it or even tax personal growth or use.

If I had been talking to you, I would have quoted you... :D

I was just making a general statement. I personally believe we should pretty much legalize all of it with restrictive regulation. It is way more effective than the black market at keeping it from children.

For people in pain, it's either opiates or marijuana. Opiates are addictive, destroy your liver, and can basically turn you into a zombie.

With marijuana, you get the munchies.

Pretty much a no brainer...

yeah mr commerce dork
I am a pot legalization clown, and of the millions of reasons you are the only yurtsie like wannabee lawyer that brings up the commerce clause dismissing any progress I report.

in short, fuck you Texas faggot

Actually Co is collecting millions in tax revenue and has thousands employed in the industry now making millions. They won't be on the poorest state list anytime soon.

Very exaggerated, and CO is cutting back on schools, etc. to balance their budget. This certainly doesn't make the state "rich" or anything.

Of course the Democrats in the House just passed a law that fines Johns who visit hookers $5,000 to $10,000 if they are caught, and another law that puts the Johns faces on the web if they don't just plead guilty and pay the fine right away.

I suspect that was basically to make money. Personally it won't effect my life at all, but imagine if you were arrested for it and were innocent. The choice is to pay up huge and fast or face public ridicule.
