It wasn't after years of torture. That's part of the myth. If you listened, you would know that McCain said that he received the best medical care available.
Now, if McCain was such a hero, wouldn't you think that the media would be all over his fellow Prisoners of War? A little research would show you that they hate McCain.

It is truly bizarre. The liberals who used to despise McCain are now pretending to love him. The conservatives went from loving him to hating him.
I never loved him. I tolerated him...for a while, but not for the last 15 years or so.

Now, where is your proof to back up your statement that he was hated by his fellow prisoners of war.
