Regardless of what you think about the gender-neutral toys, the criticism of Leslie Love is stupid. It's not like a non-binding resolution like that is in lieu of "better schools, infrastructure, city services and affordable housing." Such things cost money, whereas urging a company to alter a product can be done at no cost. It may be a waste of time, if you don't think McDonalds will listen or you don't think anyone will be helped if they do. But, if so, it's a very minor waste.

I've been to McDonalds. I've had kids fight over toys. I never had an adult walk into the house and try to speak for the kids though.
You're allowed to order whichever one you want. They don't check your child's gender. They just give you the Happy Meal you ordered.
Or just buy whatever Happy Meal your kids want and stop acting like McDonalds is doing something wrong.
