First off, the Democrats only have 50 votes, Harris doesn’t vote given sixty seven is an odd number, and secondly, if successful, bars Trump from ever holding Federal office again, plus he looses all the benefits he has been milking for years to turn a buck. Either way, certainly guarantees Trump one of lowest rankings of President in American History

Having the trial AFTER he leaves office will in fact be challenged in court for its Constitutionality.

Whether he wins or not I do not know, but the trial will have to wait for the Supremes to weigh in first.

My thinking is the 5 conservatives will point out how Unconstitutional it is, as the very idea of impeachment versus criminal courts is to REMOVE an official from office.
