Of course, I may be giving Republicans too much credit, as every Republican House Member, just yesterday, voted to prevent George Santos from being expelled. Not a very good look for them. And not much hope for them to act with any kind of moral authority or use good judgement.
Looks like all they care about is protecting their liars and corruption of Congress, rather than paying the bills coming due, many their president Trump created in the first place, and putting our nation into an unnecessary financial crisis.

Schiff did his job as a Congressman. It is his job, as part of the checks and balance system our government has in place to investigate a president for his wrongdoing.

The number of people 65 and over and on SS has more than doubled since 1980. 25M in 1980, about 55M today. I wonder why that would make a difference in the amount per person the government spends.
The percentage of population over 65 has gone from 11% in 1980 to about 17% today. How many people on SS are getting less than $20,000 per year in SS and Medicare benefits?
