Noting it is a "constitutional federal republic' DOES NOT exclude it being a form of democracy, which IT IS.
There are MANY FORMS OF DEMOCRACY, and simply citing which subset of democracy the US is, which falls under Representative Democracy, as if that then precludes it being also a Democracy is just more dumb, from the dumb party derps.
Almost all countries that we call Democracies in the West and First world, have a form of Representative Democracy, and thus by this derp reasoning, none of them are democracies.

It's not a democracy. The people do not directly vote on the matters of the state. It's a representative republic. Don't be a wing nut.
